APC Leadership in Nasarawa State has officially released names of Consensus Candidates for Chairmanship Positions in the November 2, 2024 Local government polls in the state.

This was contained in a letter jointly endorsed by its Chairman Dr Aliyu Bello and Secretary, Yairus G Dagusa and made available to newsmen in lafia, the state capital.

The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule today Friday, swore in five (5) Permanent Secretaries, Two Members of Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission and State Auditor General.

Governor Sule also inaugurated Commissioner, Nasarawa State Boundary Commission, Director General of Bureau of Public Procurement and General Manager/Assistant General Manager of Greater Karu Development Agency

The ceremony was held at Alh. Aliyu Akwe Banquet Hall, Government House.

IGP HOSTS HISTORIC MEETING WITH PAST INSPECTORS-GENERAL OF POLICE.

Discusses Groundbreaking Policies

In line with the vision and policy of inclusivity of the present leadership of the Force, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD., NPM, today on the 16th of October 2024 played host to the committee of former IGPs, at IGP’s Smart Conference Hall, Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja. The past IGPs that were present included IGP Aliyu Attah GCON, NPM, mni, (Rtd); IGP Sunday Ehindero CFR, NPM, fwc, (Rtd); IGP Mike Okiro CFR, NPM, mni, (Rtd); IGP Mohammed Abubakar CFR, NPM, mni (Rtd) and the 21st Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman psc+, NPM, fdc, (Rtd). The meeting aimed to facilitate a meaningful dialogue for the purpose of fortifying the foundation of effective policing in Nigeria.

The meeting fostered an in-depth exchange of ideas, highlighting the profound insights from past IGPs, who shared valuable experiences arising from their tenure and the evolution of policing methods.

IGP Egbetokun acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the past IGPs who are doyens in Policing, emphasizing that their tenures have constructed solid foundations for the NPF, with each past IGP playing a pivotal role in reforming the Nigeria Police Force to match up with its peers across the globe.

The past IGPs seized the opportunity to address and share their experiences with the members of the Force management team, AIGs, CPs, and other senior officers working within the Force Headquarters.

Over 90 People die in Jigawa Petrol Tanker explosion.

The incident according to report occurred at 12: 30am as ghastly automobile accident at Majiya town of Taura Local government area in the state.

Command Spokesman Lawal Salisu Adam who confirmed the incident noted that the tanker driver traveling from Kano to Nguru, Yobe State lost control near University, Majiya living many injured and were hospitalized.

Mr Peter Obi, 2023 Labour Party Presidential Candidate donates 10.Millions to Grimard College of Nursing Sciences in Anyigba, Kogi State, to redeem a pledge he had earlier made three months ago.

He had in earlier visit to the College, donated ₦10 million to support learning.

Both the Proprietor and the Rector informed him then that their most urgent need for accreditation was a 32-seater coaster bus for the student’s clinical experience visits.

In Obi's discussion with the Bishop, Most Rev. Dr. Anthony Adaji, he mentioned that since a brand-new bus now costs over ₦100 million, a fairly used one costing between ₦20 million and ₦30 million would suffice.

He returned to the College to present a fairly used bus within the range mentioned by the Proprietor, to assist the students in their critical clinical experience assignments.

Additionally, He donated ₦5 million to cover the cost of registration, insurance, and other expenses for one year.

The former Presidential Candidate sincerely thanked the Proprietor, Management, and staff of the institution for their warm reception and commend their tireless efforts in contributing to the betterment of humanity through education and health apostolate.

He assured them that he would continue to support them in his modest way as they work together towards a new Nigeria that is POssible.

BENUE LINKS NIGERIA LIMITED REVIVES MORIBUND MARCOPOLO MASS TRANSIT BUSES.

- To provide interventionary town service transport for residents of Makurdi.

The Management of Benue Links Nigeria Limited have started reviving her once moribund Marcopolo mass transit buses so as to ensure availability of transport services to her teeming customers at all times and also provide interventionary town service transport to the residents of Makurdi,Benue State.

The General Manager Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa KSM MNIM made this known on thursday 10th October, 2024 when He appeared as a guest on "MTEM U HIGEN", a Radio Benue audience participatory program broadcasted in Tiv Langauge, anchored by Ngukpen Diogo and Celestine Kai.

Comrade Fanafa stated that the Marcopolo buses which are been resuscitated, are among the many buses once owned by the company, out of which some have been sold while others were abandoned and left for scrap. He stated that when fully refurbished, the Marcopolo buses will be deployed within Makurdi to convey people within the town at subsidised rates.

The General Manager appreciated the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia for the various interventions his administration has made at the company including the recent donation of trucks, which has enabled the company to commence haulage services and also the provision of funds to resuscitate the Marcopolo buses. He assured that the resuscitation of the mass transit buses will further aid the company in providing safe and comfortable transport services at subsidised rates to the people of Benue State.

The General Manager while responding to enquiries from callers on the program, assured that in line with Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia's friendly transport policy for the Benue masses, efforts are constantly been made to open new parks and extend the company's transport services to as many as possible.

I had one child before i got married to my husband. I have two with my husband making my kids 3, but lately my husband has been complaining that i should take my son to his father that he can't raise a child who his father is still alive. My husband doesn't do anything for my child, I pay his school fees and do everything that involves him alone. Even the house rent we share it 60/40 so don't know why he wants to separate me from my son. This boy doesn't bother him, he's obedient and full of happiness. This issue has been causing problems for us, he said by the end of this year he wants my son out. I don't know what to do, instead of me to separate from my son, I'd rather leave the marriage. I don't know if leaving the marriage is better, because he has started treating the boy differently from the other kids and that breaks my heart.
Please I need advice. What should I do?
