🚨 Breaking news; IS-Sahel claimed responsibility for three encounters with JNIM in northeast Burkina Faso which took place respectively on May 18, May 25 and June 2, in Sebba, Gassèl and Kourori resulting in the death of "at least" 51 JNIM fighters in total.

40 of those killed were during what IS-Sahel reported as a failed ambush by JNIM against the group in Gassèl, an image was released of the equipment captured by IS from JNIM during this battle.

🚨Just In; The Nigeria Police Force has arrested Ifechukwu Dennis for allegedly creating and circulating an AI-generated audio clip falsely attributed to President Bola Tinubu.

Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed the arrest on Thursday, stating that Dennis was responsible for originating the fake recording and distributing it as the President’s voice.

The manipulated audio gained widespread attention on May 27 after it was inserted into a video featuring activist VeryDarkMan (VDM). In the clip, the fabricated “Tinubu” voice appeared to suggest that insecurity in the South-East was intentional and that the government was unconcerned about the suffering of Nigerians.

Subsequent fact-checks cleared VDM of any involvement, revealing that the AI-generated audio had been added by a third party. Investigators have now identified that individual as Ifechukwu Dennis.

Authorities have yet to disclose the specific charges he may face. The incident has renewed concerns about the growing threat of AI-driven misinformation and the potential impact of manipulated digital content on public discourse in Nigeria.
