Here are some things to not miss out while developing your social media strategy-

✨1. Audit your previous social media performance- The metrics you check vary depending on your social media goals e.g link clicks, impressions, reach, follows, unfollows and so on

✨2. Define your social media marketing goals for 2021- Why are we using these channels? Are our goals SMART? (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-bound)

✨3. Create audience personas-Who am I trying to target? What do they like? Where do they live? Age range? How do they behave?

✨4. Identify distribution channels and key times to post- What social media channel should we be on and what time should we post?

✨5. Check out your competitors- What are they doing? What aren't they doing? What platforms are they on? What is their brand identity like?

A thorough social media strategy answers all or at least, most of these questions.

Dear CEO, buying followers is probably the worst thing you can do for your IG account. Let me tell you why:

✨Your posts won’t be able to reach a large audience because of lack of engagement

✨It hurts the insights on your page given that most of them aren’t people that would want to interact with your page

✨Your engagement would eventually drop like my grades in university, second year🥴

✨It makes it harder to eventually reach your ideal audience!

So instead of buying followers, maybe try investing that money in hiring a social media manager that can actually run up your numbers for you. You’ll be glad you did!😌

I know this cause I have 3+ years experience in social media management and not so many clients- not because I am not good at what I do, but because I never really put myself out there as an SMM.🫢

It’s one thing to be good at what you do and another skill entire to be able to successfully present yourself and brand in front of your ideal audience as their solution.💪🏽
