This is the USAN FPSO. Operated by ExxonMobil in the USAN field, located 100km south of Bonny Island, Nigeria. The USAN FPSO was designed and built by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in Ulsan, South Korea on a turnkey basis with a construction period spanning from 2008 to 2011. The vessel measures 320m in length, 61m in width, and 28m in depth, with a gross tonnage of 140,000 tons.

The USAN FPSO has a production capacity of 180,000 barrels per day, making it one of the largest FPSOs in the world. The vessel is equipped with crude oil processing, gas compression, water injection, oil and gas separation facilities. It has a storage capacity of 2 million barrels, allowing it to store crude oil for extended periods. The vessel is also equipped with offloading facilities, enabling it to transfer oil to tankers.

The USAN FPSO is designed with safety, security and environment in mind, featuring advanced fire detection and suppression systems, emergency shutdown systems, life-saving appliances (life-boats and life-rafts), access control systems, zero discharge policy (no oil or chemicals are discharged into the ocean), advanced wastewater treatment systems, and energy-efficient systems and equipment. These measures ensure the safety of the crew, the vessel and the environment.
