The MACA International Film Festival has successfully kicked off its inaugural edition in Benue State, marking a significant milestone in the state's cultural and cinematic landscape!

The festival's opening ceremony was declared open by Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange, Commissioner for Youth, Sports, and Creativity, Benue State, and Dr. Shaibu Husseini, Director General of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), represented by Abga John Akeh.

They were warmly received by the CEO of Gafiligadoki Communication and Executive Director of the MACA International Film Festival, Amb Nyam Terkimbi Terry. The Executive Director expressed gratitude to the management for their continuous support of MACA NATION.

With the opening ceremony set to kick off at 6 p.m. tonight, the team is buzzing with excitement. The festival promises to be an unforgettable experience, celebrating creativity and filmmaking excellence.

• Day 2 (Tomorrow): Film Premiere, Screening, and Panel Discussion - 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Exodus Cinema (FREE admission)

• Day 3 (Friday): Film Screening and Workshop - 1:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Exodus Cinema (FREE admission), followed by an after-party at 8:00 p.m.

The Executive Director MACA international film festival, CEO Gafiligadoki Communication and G-Films Academy Amb Nyam Terkimbi Terry have paid a courtesy visit to the Director General (ED) National film and video sensors board (NFVCB) Dr. Shaibu Husseini
Nyam Terkimbi was received in Makurdi by Abga John Akeh H.O.D Makurdi.

The visit was to discuss areas of mutual interest and sustainable collaboration creating awareness and the need for film makers to always sensor their work and so on.

NFVCB is a very key player in the film industry and it's very important for film makers to always get their work pass through the right channel before publication

Both MIFF and NFVCB have agreed to work together, as we anticipate the event coming up this July 16th-20th a 5 days event in Makurdi, Benue State

As Mr Onum Gabriel and Philomena Chai O. Staff of NFVCB Was also in attendance
