Dear Aspiring Content Writer, Start With the Right Tools.

Before you doubt your talent or quit writing again because it feels hard check your tools.

Let me show you the 4 tools you can use every single week. Free and simple, as a writer and content creator (yes, every week 😅):

1. ChatGPT: We all know ChatGPT, that AI that helps prompt words. Instead of waiting for inspiration, just prompt it. Use this to brainstorm ideas, create content outlines, write story starters, or refine what’s already in your head. It saves time and keeps you creative. Simple, but be careful if you get used to it; you won't want to use your brain. 😊 You get lazy.

2. Notion: This is a digital writing desk. It can be used to plan a content calendar, draft newsletters, keep track of writing goals, and even store prayer points sometimes 🙈. Yes, you heard me, it gives you alerts at every single moment. If you want consistency, you need a planning system.

3. Grammarly: I personally love this in particular. There are many more, but I love Grammarly. You can become a great writer, but… your typos!! 😉 Grammarly checks grammar, punctuation, and clarity. It’s my second eye, especially when staring at a post for too long. 😊 But it’s a bit costly.

4. QuillBot: This one almost changes all my words to that of a professor in English 🤣 I love it. But I mostly use it to write, either for ghostwriting or for foreign websites like Medium, Good News, novels, Wattpad, etc. It rephrases, rewrites, or polishes clumsy sentences so they sound more professional or just simpler. It has a selection feature.

You don’t need expensive gear to become a writer. You need tools that help you do the work consistently, clearly, and confidently.

If you're trying to build your writing voice, grow your page, or start earning through content use what works.

👉🏽 These 4 tools have helped me write faster, better, and bolder.

Which of these do you already use?

STOP TRYING TO EXPLAIN YOUR CALLING TO PEOPLE WHO WEREN'T THERE WHEN GOD CALLED YOU.

It always sounds strange when you try to explain yourself and your calling to people who will never understand. I almost stopped writing because my friends and family think I write too much. Of course, words are powerful, and they will stay there for many years.

You see those stupid comments you leave on someone’s post; you have to be very careful. I tried to explain to a friend of mine that my calling is to write. Just writing; I know that I may not know who it will reach. Writing is not just about expressing through words, but you are passing on a message that needs to be published.

See, what people can't understand, they can never comprehend. No matter how much you try to explain yourself to them, they will never understand you. The best thing you can do is to focus on God. He called; only He deserves a daily report, not humans.

Even right now, people don't believe me. But as we speak, I am ghostwriting for someone at the moment. I am helping a brand right now to close a deal. Why should I share what I do on social media when I know people will attack me? Because the more you try to explain yourself, the more confused they become.

They don't understand, but the few who do will always appreciate you. So stay focused. Build. Grow in silence.

You will not always feel wise, but obedience is a form of wisdom.

I told someone to forgive her parents and her siblings for all the hardships they may have caused her, so she could free her mind, and she said "NEVER" in capital letters. 😁

Although I was very angry, I wanted to give up, but because I was led by the Holy Spirit, I obeyed the instructions and waited.

She told me how she suffered from a tender age; she disrespected anyone that came her way and hardly respected her elders. Nevertheless, people pointed fingers at her, branding her as the bad child and hurling hurtful words at her.

So one day, I took an interest in getting to know her better. When I was about to make a move, I explained to my friend how I would like to get closer to that lady and preach Christ to her.

My friend discouraged me. 😀 However, I really do understand her refusing me to get closer to the girl, because getting close to her would give me a bad name. (Who cares about a bad name when a soul needs to be saved?) Still, I went ahead. I met her calmly, became her friend, and began by speaking kind words to her. I told her how beautiful she is and how mightily God wants to use her.

One day, she broke down and told me the story of her life. Oh, it dawned on me that people are going through terrible things. She shared how her own father r***d her for twelve years and how her mother abandoned her, leaving her with her father. She has two siblings who also slept with her.

Her story was so sympathetic and painful that when her mother finally returned, she hated her. She hardly finished secondary school. Whenever she went to ask her dad for school fees, he would tell her to lay down, and he would sleep with her before giving her the fees. 🥺

Like, what?! I asked her why she didn't tell her mom, and she said that was what made her leave in the first place without taking her along, leaving her with three men who abused her every night.

😭 How can you sleep with a teenager? She was barely 16 years.

She explained that she felt no one loved her; people only took what they wanted from her. But ever since I started coming into her life, she felt loved again.

I prayed for her and encouraged her over time, during our study sessions, to forgive her father. She refused.

She told me how she had been abused since she was 16 years old, and she is now 26.

Many things held her back. I kept praying for her, and fortunately, one day she told me she had forgiven and let go. She felt better.

Within a month, her call-up letter that had been withheld for more than two years came out, and she was so happy. 😀

But guess what? It was just a simple act of obedience during her prayer that brought her all this good news.

Don't ever feel wise about everything; leave room for obedience. I pray that as you obey God, He will open more doors for you. Amen.

Move even when unsure. Don't allow anyone to discourage you from preaching to anyone.

That lady goes out at night and attends school in the morning while managing other small businesses. But today, she is happy with her next step with Christ.

Preach to that soul. Just an act of obedience can lead that sinner to inherit her place in the kingdom of God.

3 WAYS TO TURN A BORING SENTENCE INTO A CAPTIVATING ONE.

Let’s be honest: some sentences sound like *cardboard.* Flat. Dry. No flavor. 😩 But here’s the truth:

Good writing isn’t about big grammar. It’s about connection, emotion, and voice. So how do you make your sentences come alive?

1. Use Storytelling.

Instead of saying: ❌ I was broke and tired.

Say: I stared at my account balance and laughed. Not because it was funny, but because I didn’t even have enough to cry over.

📌 Stories help people see and feel what you mean, not just read it.

2. Add Emotion.

Instead of saying: ❌ I learned a lesson about life.

Say: ✅ Life taught me with tears, silence, and lonely nights.

📌 Don’t just say what happened; say how it made you feel. That’s what hooks hearts.

3. Let Your Voice Breathe.

Instead of saying: ❌ It’s important to stay focused.

Say: ✅ Sis, distractions don’t look like demons. They look like comfort.

📌 Let your authentic voice speak. Don’t water it down trying to sound 'correct.' Correct is cold. But real? Real is magnetic.

People may forget your words, but they’ll never forget how your words made them feel.

So write with heart. Write with honesty. And most importantly… write like you.

EVERYTHING DOESN'T HAVE TO MAKE SENSE BEFORE YOU OBEY GOD.

During my NYSC days, I was posted to the far north. Before that time, I was hoping to be posted to Abuja and all that. Not knowing that God had a better plan for me, He gave me Kebbi State (like I had never heard of that place before. It was my NYSC call-up letter that made me even know there and the route.

When it came, before the call up letter came, I was serving in my church and was a new convert, Just starting my faith level with God. I had this zeal; I wanted to serve God, and I told God that anywhere He posted me, I was ready to go. So, when I printed out my call-up letter, I showed my pastor, and he advised me to change it back to Abuja, and he could help me. I went home, thought about it, and remembered my vow. I stood my ground and said no; I was going anyway.

I left for Kebbi State after camp. When I went to my PPA, as God would have it, I met amazing people there who changed my life. I went there without a roadmap, but that place became my training ground. I will even say that place was where I found my voice in writing; I got clarity. I realized I could teach; I have this gift of teaching, and I could connect with people easily.

I left with the mindset that, as long as it's God, anyway, we are going . Let God lead, and I left. I didn't disappoint God; He showed me His glory; His mercy was upon me.

I tell you, everything doesn't have to make sense to you before going. As long as it's God, focus on what He told you to do.
Write that book.
Write that article.
Write that content.
It might be someone's breakthrough for life.

Stay focused. It's Wednesday wisdom.

HOW TO TURN A LIFE EXPERIENCE INTO A CAPTIVATING STORY.

Have it in mind that, everyone has a story. But not everyone knows how to tell it in a way that moves people. Because human are both rational and Emotional being, you will need to connect with them emotionally and rationally. Human loved stories. And one thing I understand again they hate big Grammar. People love to read something simple.

Let me show you the easiest way to turn your real-life moments into powerful content.

📍1. What Happened?

Start with the event.
It could be something small a conversation, a mistake, a breakthrough, a heartbreak. 'I once cried in a bus because I felt like my life wasn’t moving anywhere'. Don’t be afraid to be specific.

📍2. What Did You Feel?

Now go deeper. What were the emotions?
Fear, Shame, Joy, Confusion? 'I felt lost, empty, like no one would ever understand me'. That’s what pulls people in. The emotions. Not just the facts. Humans are connected to emotional stories, they love Amebo (gossip) 😀so when reading your story they want to see how it's ends.

📍3. What Did You Learn?

Here’s where the lesson comes in. What did that experience teach you? 'I realized God wasn’t waiting for me to be perfect He was walking with me even in the confusion'. You must be very specific about what you write make them understand.

📍4. How Can Others Relate?

End with connection.
Say something that makes the reader feel seen and understood. If you’ve ever felt stuck, know that your story is still unfolding. Don’t give up now.

📌 Final Truth:

You don’t have to be a professional writer. Just be a truthful one. That messy, emotional, imperfect story you’re hiding They are your most powerful tool.

WHAT GOD TOLD ME THAT KEPT ME GOING, EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T SEE THE ENGAGEMENT.

One day I found myself in a state of depression tired and angry with myself. I was exhausted and hungry.

I wanted to give up and stay away from social media platforms because I had done it once before. Being a writer is so draining and tiring. Thankfully, after reading these passages from the Bible:
Jeremiah 29:11,
Isaiah 60, and Habakkuk 2:3-4,

I heard the still voice speaking to me clearly. I have a better plan for you, and no matter what, you should never give up on your writing; keep pushing and moving until you hit your goal.

What's inside you is greater than what you can imagine. So has God told you a lot about yourself?

Has He assured you that you will not only make it but excel? I tell you this morning that God will help you arrive at that point.

He designed me to lead I'm a leader in the making. Although things might not look like it yet, I know what God told me. Whenever I feel down, I remember my diary.and looked into it's again. There is fire inside of it.

Pick that old dairy again, and read.
