The Last Piece of Bread

Every evening, little Daniel waited for his mother to return from work.
One night, she came home tired and hungry. She had only one piece of bread left.
She sat down and looked at Daniel.
“Are you hungry?”
Daniel nodded.
She gave him the bread.
“Mummy, what about you?”
“I already ate,” she lied with a smile.
Daniel looked at her carefully. He knew she was lying.
He broke the bread into two and handed half back to her.
“We will eat together.”
His mother started crying.
Daniel hugged her and whispered, “One day, I will make sure you never have to go hungry again.”
Years later, Daniel became a successful man.
The first thing he did was buy his mother a beautiful house.
He hugged her and said,
“You gave me your last piece of bread. I will spend the rest of my life giving you everything you deserve.”
The End. ❤️
Sometimes, a mother's sacrifice becomes the foundation of her child's success.
