VACANCY FOR AN ACCOUNTANT AT FHA LUGBE ABUJA .

An accountant's job is to manage and analyze a company's financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and filing taxes. They also provide financial advice to management, create budgets, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and profit improvement

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Record and maintain financial records: Track daily financial transactions, organize and maintain financial records, and reconcile bank statements.
 Prepare financial statements: Create and analyze financial documents such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash-flow statements.
 Ensure compliance: Verify that all financial records and statements comply with laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
 Manage taxes: Compute and file tax returns, and analyze liabilities to recommend strategies for future tax reduction.
 Provide financial analysis and advice: Interpret financial data to provide insights to management, help make informed business decisions, and assess financial risks.
 Conduct audits: Perform internal and external audits to examine financial records and systems for accuracy and to ensure compliance.
 Cost reduction: Suggest ways to improve profitability and reduce costs.
 Technology utilization: Use software and technology, including AI, to increase efficiency in routine tasks.

SKILLS

 Financial analysis and data analysis: The ability to interpret complex financial data and turn it into actionable insights.
 Accounting software proficiency: Expertise in using software like QuickBooks, or Zoho to manage records and automate task
 Attention to detail: Crucial for ensuring accuracy in financial records, preventing costly mistakes

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

 A minimum of OND/BSc in any numerate discipline will be required.
 Other relevant certifications in accounting and information and communications technology will be an added advantage.
