‎2027: A YEAR TO HEAL SANKERA LAND

‎As Nigerians are matching towards 2027 general elections, the good people of Katsina-Ala, Ukum & Logo Federal Constituency popularly called (Sankera) will also be mandated to take a decision for themselves by voting for someone who is intellectually, democratically and physically endowed with transformative ideas; ideas that would heal the land and set Sankera on the path of progress.

‎The people of Sankera will have to take their destiny into their hands by voting for a candidate whose presence will bring relief from the pains of total negligence from the past elected representatives who promised total inclusion of every class of people but disappeared immediately after gotten the overwhelming support.
‎
‎This is because, the process of healing Sankera from challenges ranging from bad roads, insecurity, high rate of unemployment and lack of social amenities to poor leadership can not be achieved if there is no credible candidate with the needed potential to deliver excellently on the people's mandate.
‎
‎God so kind, the people of Sankera have a worthy son they can trust their destiny into his hand and go to sleep. He is Dr. Terris Damsa; a thoroughly bleed university don, multinational and development expert who has the interest of his people at heart.
‎
‎Dr. Damsa born and brought up in a christian home in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, has proven his competency beyond doubt through impacts he made with the little positions he occupied both in the government and private sectors.
‎
‎Irrespective of political affiliations, the good people of Sankera must collectively support and vote Dr. Terris Damsa whose vision and mission is to heal, revive and rebuild Sankera through the Development of Agriculture, Manpower development, Security and Accountability.

PDP CONDEMNS BENUE ASSEMBLY’S APPROVAL OF ₦100 BILLION LOAN.

The Peoples Democratic Party, Benue State Chapter, views with utmost dismay and strong disapproval the hasty and ill-considered approval by the Benue State House of Assembly, of yet, another ₦100 billion loan request by the Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia-led administration.
This reckless fiscal adventure is both unjustifiable and insensitive to the prevailing economic realities facing the people of Benue State.

Since the removal of fuel subsidies, there has been a historic and unprecedented increase in monthly allocations to states across the federation. The Alia administration has received colossal sums from the Federation Account, running into several hundreds of billions of naira, for both state and local governments.

Against this backdrop, the decision to plunge Benue into another cycle of debt raises grave questions about transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline.

What, precisely, is the purpose of this loan? Under what provisions of the 2025 budget does this colossal borrowing find justification? And what measures have been put in place to ensure that the funds, if indeed accessed, will serve the collective interest of Benue people rather than disappear into opaque channels of political patronage and contract inflation?

This alarming pattern of borrowing without clear justification suggests a government bereft of sound financial judgment and driven by short-term expediency.

The PDP strongly warns that Benue State cannot continue to be mortgaged to satisfy the whims of a few. Future generations must not be condemned to paying debts incurred without their consent and without corresponding developmental value.

We therefore call on the Benue State House of Assembly to retrace its steps and act in the true spirit of checks and balances, rather than as a mere rubber stamp of the executive.
History will not absolve any institution or individual that aids the reckless plundering of our collective patrimony.

The PDP remains committed to defending the interests of the Benue people and will continue to expose every act of financial impropriety, misgovernance, and deceit perpetrated under the guise of governance.

‎MARKOLIMA CONSULTANCY ACADEMY UNVEILS 'BENUE STATE: 2027 ROADMAP'

‎The 'Benue State: 2027 Roadmap' organized by Markolima Consultancy Academy (MACA) in partnership with the Nigerian Good Governance Initiatives was on Tuesday, 16th September 2027, unveiled in Abuja.
‎
‎The event which took place at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja was attended by 2027 Benue State Governorship aspirants, the academia, critical stakeholders, politicians and supporters across party line.
‎
‎BoT Chairman of MACA Dr. Timothy Aikor, in his opening remarks said, the Benue State: 2027 Roadmap is a platform designed to avail all the 2027 governorship aspirants in Benue State them opportunity to interact with the people of Benue State on what they can do better if voted in 2027. He disclosed that, the platform will further engage the aspirants one-on-one and also give the people of Benue State the opportunity to ask them questions.

‎Chairman of the occasion, Chief Terlumun Akputu, in his remarks commended the organizers of the event for bringing up such a laudable Initiative which he described as the first of its kind, and urged them never to be distracted but remain focused in their quest to get the leadership for the people of Benue State come 2027.
‎
‎Vice Chancellor of University of Mkar, Professor Zachary Gundu in his paper Presentation titled 'Insecurity and the Challenge of Political Leadership in Benue State' urged all political actors in Benue State to always place the interest of the state above personal interests. He called on the political actors not to forget the bigger picture of Benue State which is security and development, urging them to see the security of lives and property in the state as a collective responsibility.

‎Others who spoke at the event including the 2027 Governorship aspirants; Professor Dennis Ityavyar, Dr. Tersoo Loko, Dr. Jeffery Kuraun, Surv. Godwin Tyoachimin and Dr. Simon Ater, all promised to correct the mistakes of the past and set Benue State on the path of progress in all sectors, assuring that as people who understand the challenges of Benue State, they will never disappoint the people if voted in 2027.

‎The theme for the Benue State: 2027 Roadmap is "Who will govern Benue State come 2027?".

‎ As the 2027 general elections approach, the good people of Katsina-Ala, Ukum & Logo Federal Constituency stand at a critical crossroads to make a choice of who will represent their voice in the Nigeria's Green Chamber come 2027.
