Tega and his fiance, Tochi were chilling when he stumbled on the video of the shooting at Lekki Toll Gate that dreadful night in October, 2020.

He showed the video to Tochi and she recalled that her best friend, Talatu, went for the protest at the Lekki Toll Gate on that day and she worried about her safety.

Fortunately, Talatu escaped the shooting and according to her, it's a miracle that she's alive and able to make it to Tochi's wedding that took place few weeks later.
She even had to hide because as a witness to the shooting, she and her family are in danger.

Two years later, nothing has changed and Talatu is still in hiding and so are many other witnesses of that tragic day in Nigeria's history.

October 20, 2020 is a day we will always remember.

The Lekki Shooting was documented in our short film titled "Twenty-theLockdown" as part of the experiences we had in the most anticipated year 2020.
