President Bola Tinubu approves the extension of the tenure of the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi, by one year on Thursday, 31st July 2025.

The Federal Ministry of Environment issues an early warning alert, cautioning residents in several parts of the country to brace for potential flooding due to heavy rainfall expected between Wednesday, July 31 and Sunday, August 4, 2025.

In a statement released by the Director of the Erosion, Flood and Coastal Zone Management Department, Usman Abdullahi Bokani, on Thursday 31st July 2025, the ministry identified specific towns and localities in 24 states and the Federal Capital Territory FCT, that are at risk of flooding during the forecast period.
