⚽ Diogo José Teixeira da Silva (1996 – 2025)
• Born on December 4, 1996, in Porto, Portugal 
• Played as a dynamic forward/left winger, known for his pace, dribbling, and clinical finishing 

Career path:
• Youth levels at Gondomar and Paços de Ferreira
• Briefly at Atlético Madrid before loans to Porto and Wolverhampton
• Signed for Liverpool in 2020 for around £41 million, earning 47 goals in 123 league appearances  

Internationally, he earned 49 caps for Portugal, scoring 14 goals and contributing to their UEFA Nations League wins in 2019 and 2025

Tragically, on July 3, 2025, at the age of 28, Diogo and his brother André died in a car accident in Zamora, Spain 

🌟 Diogo Jota will be remembered not only for his incredible talent—scoring in crucial matches, winning Premier League and FA Cup titles—but also for his joyful spirit and generous nature on and off the pitch. His legacy left a lasting mark on Liverpool, Portugal, and the wider football community.

VDM, DEJI ADEYANJU LEAD PROTEST AS DEMOLITIONS DISPLACE THOUSANDS IN ABUJA

Thousands of residents in Ruga community in Abuja have been displaced as the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) continues large-scale demolitions targeting low-income communities.

On Friday, activists and community leaders, including social media influencer Martin Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkman, and Barrister Deji Adeyanju, led a protest at the Ruga settlement near the Abuja city gate.

ABUJA NEWS: University of Abuja Appoints New Registrar

The Governing Council of University of Abuja has approved the appointment of Mrs Islamiya Foyeke Abdulraheem as Acting Registrar of the institution pending the appointment of a substantive registrar.

The Council appointed Mrs Abdulraheem at its 71st Extra Ordinary meeting on Tuesday 5th November 2024. She will be taking over from Malam Yahya Mohammed, whose five-year tenure as Registrar of the institution expires on 12th November 2024.
