ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

THE WORST HAS HAPPENED

There is a draft on my note app, I got too busy to complete. It says;

"I predict that in the next few days, there will be a massive attack in Bassa. The murderers will kill 50 people. Then the government will finally take notice.

There may be a visit by the Governor. The NSA and maybe the president will deliver a statement condemning the killings.

But by then, 50 people will be dead. Families shattered forever.

Make no mistakes. It was preventable. This can be stopped. The government has the power to stop it now."

Folks, that attack happened before I could post this. Last night, Bassa was attacked again, and more than 40 people were killed.

The Governor was in IDP and attacked communities in Bokkos and Mangu over the weekend. He promised that the perpetrators will be brought to book. He promised that security will be provided. He said "Government will do its part". If there was a test place to prove his words, it was in Bassa. In Bassa, the Government has failed its people. In Bassa, the Governors words became the mere words of a typical politician. In Bassa, the Governors assurance turned out to be no different from all the promises that have been heard for years. In Bassa, it was proved that there is no Government in Plateau State. How can there be a government and for 2 weeks there has been consistent attack without any single mention of it by the government? How can there be so predictable patterns and yet no action?

With all the media aides that are bombarding us with AI written articles on this app, no one could see the situation in Bassa and draw the Government of Plateau State attention to an obvious massacre that was in the making? No one? Shame on you media aides. Shame on you! You are utterly, despicable disgraces. And this government has failed its people.

For all the other representatives of Bassa, from the Local Govenrment Chairman to Ward Councillor, to House of Reps, to Senator. Shame on you! Utter despicable disgraces. Shameless lots of men and women who can't do their basic job. The Chairman of Bassa was in Bassa for Zerechi a day before the attacks, so he is very aware. You can't put pressure on the state government? There is no single press statement from the Senators and House of Reps to say the more of adding pressure to get security for their people. Shame on you. You shameless failures.

I don't care about those who want to score political points, I care about those in government who refused to perform their basic duties. Basic duties. For damn sake, the primary duty of government is to protect lives. Your primary duty! Your number one duty. You are failing and you are not even worried. You have parrots running around writing useless AI op eds and stupid rejoinders. Can you forget those idiots and protect us? Is that too much to ask? Is that too much?

If you can't do anything, resign. Go home. Resign! Resign. Accept your failure status fully. Go home. This is our lives you are joking with. This is our lives. This is 120 people in the last month. You allowed them to die. Under your watch, their lives was taken.

We don't want condolence visit, we don't want rice, we don't want aide, we don't want condemnation. Do your job. Protect our lives. It is that simple.

JUST DO YOUR DAMN JOB! DO YOUR JOB! WE ARE PAYING YOU TO DO THIS!
