EPISODE 4: THE HIDDEN WOUNDS
The silence that once filled Anita’s mansion had now turned into something darker — fear.
At first, it was just the cold stares and long nights of loneliness. Chike no longer spoke unless it was to correct her. The sweet words that once filled the house had dried up like water under the sun.
Then came the day his hand spoke louder than his mouth.
It was sudden — a slap, a bruise, a tear she didn’t even realize had fallen until she saw it drop on her wedding ring.
She stared at herself in the mirror that night, her reflection almost unrecognizable.
The woman who used to glow with love now looked like a stranger wearing a forced smile.
Outside, people still called her “the luckiest woman in town.” They saw the cars, the mansion, the jewelry — but not the pain hiding beneath her designer gown.
Each morning, Anita covered her bruises with makeup and her fears with silence.
Her friends would compliment her beauty, and she’d smile, pretending everything was fine.
But deep inside, she was breaking.
She began to ask herself quietly, “Is this what marriage truly means?”
And even as she walked through the golden halls of her luxury home, all she could hear was her own heart whispering — “You can’t keep hiding forever.”
