Please that judgement was based on the provisions of Delta State Road Traffic regulations that did not provide for road worthiness for private vehicles operating on Delta State Roads. That does not mean it is not enforceable in other States that it's regulations provide for such enforcement. Read the relevant provisions of CAP 548 LFN, the Road Traffic Act and read the sections on road worthiness which is sections 142, 3, 4, 5 and 143 to know better. Besides, the Delta State House of Assembly can as well review that law to include private vehicles. So it's only for Delta State Government defence that did not apply the road traffic act as above cited but relied on its State regulations that did not provide for such.

Road safety does not need to bear arms in a civil society. Worldwide, no safety agency bear arms, against motorists.
Arms is only acceptable to security agencies to curb activities of criminals and not traffic offenders.
Road safety personnel only need proper training and re training.

This scene of road crash is a common occurrence on our roads. We have advocated that the Fire Service be drafted and stationed on our roads to prevent incidences of fire on crashing or mechanically defective vehicles that may be caught by fire. Some good and different approach should be introduced and implemented to protect the lives of road users particularly when there is road crash. May their soul rest in peace.

CALLING ON ALL ROAD/TRAFFIC SAFETY CONSCIOUS NIGERIANS IN ANAMBRA STATE.

Anambra State records high rate of road crash deaths and injuries annually without adequate effort by any sitting governor of Anambra State to address it. In 1999 till date Anambra State has very few Vehicle Inspection Officers without equipment and operational vehicles to enforce vehicle road worthiness. The State has continued to demonstrate apathy over safety of road users. The rate of road crashes, deaths and injuries to innocent road users in Anambra State continue to abate without Anambra State government intervention.
Road Users have the constitutional right to support any candidate that will deliver to achieve their objectives for safety as road users and it is our stand and resolve that Chief Osita Chidoka of UPP should be voted for as Governor of Anambra State considering that he will deliver in our pursuit for tolerable road crashes, deaths and injuries in Anambra State.
The time has come for the right people to occupy the right position to serve their people. Every right and honest mind will not hesitate to raise the hand of Chief Osita Chidoka as the right person for the position where the right thing should be done. VOTE OSITA CHIDOKA AS ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNOR FOR SAFETY OF ROAD USERS
