Men are quick to leave… but they always come back.
Women take their time deciding if they should leave… but when they finally do, they never return.
Because a man will walk away in the heat of a moment. Out of pride. Out of ego. Out of frustration. He’ll say he needs “space” or act like he doesn’t care, only to circle back when the silence gets too loud and the comfort of her love starts to echo in his empty routines. He doesn’t always realize what he had until he’s already gone... and by then, she’s different.
Women, on the other hand, don’t just up and leave. They think. They reflect. They give chance after chance. They hold on through the disrespect, the disappointment, the silent treatments, and the broken promises. They love hard… even when it hurts. Because when a woman loves you, she holds on longer than she should... not because she’s weak, but because she believed in you.
But the moment she decides to walk away?
That’s not a decision she made overnight. That’s the result of being unheard for too long. That’s what happens when she’s cried herself to sleep more times than she can count, and no apology ever came. That’s what happens when her effort was met with excuses, and her loyalty was met with betrayal.
When a woman finally leaves, she’s already grieved the relationship in her heart. She’s already had the breakdowns, the late-night overthinking, the “maybe it’ll get better” phase. So by the time she walks out that door, she’s done. There’s no bitterness, no revenge, no games... just silence. Just a woman who gave everything, realized it still wasn’t enough, and chose to finally give that love back to herself.
Men return when they realize what they lost.
Women leave when they realize they were losing themselves.
And once she finds her peace again…
She won’t go back to the place that cost her it.
