EPISODE 15 – (The Fall of the Chalk-Man)

The golden flames spread across the ruined house, swallowing the red symbols, silencing the cultists’ chants one by one.

Amaka could only stare, wide-eyed, as her best friend—once trembling, afraid, begging to be saved—now stood tall, her very presence radiating fire and light.

Chidinma’s voice was steady, almost unrecognizable in its strength.
“This ends tonight.”

The chalk-man staggered back, his painted face cracking like old stone.
“No… no! You are mine! The mark obeys ME!”

He slammed his palms against the ground, summoning one last circle of blood-red chalk. The earth shook, and from the broken floor, a monstrous figure rose—a beast of smoke and shadow, eyes glowing like embers.

The cultists dropped to their knees, chanting in terror and awe.
“The Beast of the Mark! The Beast is Awakened!”

The chalk-man pointed at Chidinma, his voice a desperate roar.
“Kill her!”

The beast lunged.
Its claws swept through the air, shattering walls, tearing through fire.

Amaka screamed, raising her arms to shield herself.
“Chi!”

But Chidinma didn’t flinch.
She lifted her hand, golden flames coiling around her fingers like a blade.

When the beast struck—she met it head-on.
The impact shook the entire house, fire and shadow clashing like two storms colliding.

The chalk-man laughed manically.
“Yes! Use it! Burn yourself out! The mark will consume you!”

Chidinma’s jaw clenched, sweat and tears streaming down her glowing face.
“I’m not burning for you.”

With a scream, she drove her golden fire deeper into the beast.
The shadow shrieked, splitting apart, trying to claw its way back into the chalk-man.

“No!” the chalk-man cried. “Not me! Not me!”

But the beast obeyed the mark. And the mark obeyed her.

The shadow wrapped around him, forcing its way under his skin, into his lungs, his eyes. He thrashed, screaming, his body cracking with fire from the inside.

“Chi!” Amaka shouted. “He’ll take you with him!”

Chidinma raised her burning hands, her voice calm and commanding.
“No. He’s not taking anyone again.”

She snapped her palms together.
The golden flames erupted like a sun exploding—consuming the chalk-man, the beast, and the last of the cult’s circle.

When the light faded… silence.

The cultists lay scattered, unconscious.
The chalk-man was gone. Nothing left but ash burned into the floor.

Chidinma collapsed to her knees, trembling, her fire dimming at last.

Amaka rushed to her, cradling her in her arms.
“You did it, Chi. You won.”

Chidinma shook her head weakly.
“No… this isn’t over. The mark… it’s still inside me. And someone else will come for it.”

Her glowing eyes flickered with both fear… and resolve.

Outside, in the distance, a low drumbeat began to echo—steady, powerful, carrying across the night.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

Amaka froze.
“That sound… what is it?”

Chidinma’s golden flames flickered faintly in answer.
Her voice was almost a whisper:

“The real war is coming.”

EPISODE 14 – (Her Mother’s Voice)

White.
Blinding, endless white.

Chidinma floated in the void, her body weightless, her fire dimmed to a faint glow.
For the first time since the mark awakened, the whispers were silent.

Then—she saw her.

Her mother.
Wrapped in light, smiling the way she used to when Chidinma was a child.

“Chi,” her mother said softly, her voice echoing in every corner of the void.
“You are not the mark. You are my daughter. And you are stronger than the chains they place on you.”

Tears filled Chidinma’s glowing eyes.
“Mama… I don’t understand. Why me? Why was I cursed with this thing?”

Her mother reached out, brushing her cheek with a hand made of light.
“It is not a curse, Chi. It is a gift—but one twisted by those who feared its true purpose.”

Chidinma’s voice broke.
“They say it wants blood. They say it will destroy me.”

Her mother shook her head.
“No. The mark only obeys the heart that carries it. If your heart burns with hate, it will destroy. But if your heart burns with love—it will protect.”

Meanwhile—
Back in the burning house, Amaka clung to Chidinma’s body, which still trembled in violent flames.

The chalk-man staggered to his feet, fury twisting his face.
“No! She cannot resist me. She belongs to the darkness!”

The cultists, though shaken, began chanting again, louder, desperate:
“The Mark is Ours! The Mark is Ours!”

But Chidinma’s body remained still, her spirit locked in the void with her mother.

Chidinma’s fists clenched.
“I don’t want to be their weapon. I don’t want to kill!”

Her mother’s smile grew brighter.
“Then fight—not with their fire… but with yours.”

Suddenly, the void cracked like glass.
Her mother’s form began to fade.

Chidinma cried out:
“No! Don’t leave me! I still need you!”

Her mother’s final words pierced her soul as the light collapsed:
“You already have me. Every breath you take… I am with you.”

BOOM! 🔥
Chidinma’s eyes snapped open.

But they weren’t just glowing red anymore—
They burned with golden flames.

The cultists gasped, stumbling back in terror.
Even Amaka shielded her eyes.

The chalk-man roared in rage.
“What… what have you done?!”

Chidinma rose slowly to her feet, her voice steady, calm… but filled with unshakable power.
“I remembered who I am.”

With a single wave of her hand, the fiery chains that once bound her shattered completely.
The golden flames surged across the floor, burning through the cult’s symbols.

The chalk-man fell to his knees, screaming as the runes on his skin began to crack.
“No! This power—it should have been mine!”

Chidinma took a step forward, the flames following her like a crown.
Her voice cut through the air:

“Tonight, it ends.”

EPISODE 13 – (The Voice of the Mark)

Darkness.
A silence so heavy it drowned even the cultists’ chants.

Chidinma’s glowing eyes pierced the void.
Chains of red fire rattled around her body, each one pulling tighter with every heartbeat.

Amaka shook her violently.
“Chidinma, listen to me! You’re stronger than this. Don’t give in!”

But the whisper came again, clearer, sharper:
"She doesn’t understand. Only we can protect you. Only blood can silence the pain."

The chalk-man stepped forward, grinning with unholy delight.
“She belongs to us now. The seal is complete!”

The cultists cheered, slamming their fists against the ground in rhythm.
“The Mark is Awakened! The Mark is Ours!”

Chidinma screamed as her body convulsed—then suddenly, she went still.
Her voice, but layered with something ancient, rolled out like thunder:

"I… am not yours."

A shockwave exploded outward.
The cultists were thrown across the room like broken dolls, their chanting silenced.

The chalk-man staggered back, his grin faltering.
“This… this isn’t possible. The mark should obey me!”

But Chidinma’s chains snapped, one by one, melting into liquid fire that crawled across the floor.

Amaka gasped.
Her friend’s body hovered inches above the ground, flames dancing across her skin.

“Chi… it’s you, isn’t it?”

Chidinma turned her head slowly.
Her eyes—still glowing red—were wet with tears.
“I don’t know… I don’t know if it’s me anymore.”

The voice inside laughed, cruel and hungry:
"Do not fight us. Together, we are power. Together, we are unbreakable."

Her hands shook violently as if torn between two wills.
One reaching for Amaka.
The other curling into a fist of fire.

The chalk-man, desperate now, drew a dagger carved with strange runes.
“If she won’t submit, then her blood will seal the mark forever!”

He lunged.
The blade sliced the air—

But before it could touch her, Chidinma’s fire roared to life, shielding her in a storm of flame.

The dagger melted instantly.
The chalk-man’s scream echoed through the burning haze.

Chidinma dropped to her knees, clutching her head.
“I can’t… I can’t control it!”

Amaka knelt beside her, holding her shoulders.
“Then let me carry it with you. You’re not alone. You’ll never be alone.”

The voice snarled in rage.
"She will betray you. They always do. Only we remain."

Chidinma’s fire flared uncontrollably, the walls beginning to collapse around them.
Amaka refused to move, clutching her tighter as debris rained down.

Suddenly, a second voice echoed in Chidinma’s head—
Not dark, not cruel… but familiar.

Her mother’s voice.
“Chi… my daughter… remember who you are.”

Her glowing eyes widened—
And then everything went white.

EPISODE 12

The house was trembling.
Red cracks spread across the walls like veins of lightning, pulsing in rhythm with Chidinma’s heartbeat.

The cultists, bloodied but unbroken, rose to their feet again, chanting in one voice:
"The Mark is Awakened. The Mark is Ours."

Amaka pulled Chidinma closer, whispering harshly:
“Don’t lose yourself. Whatever happens—don’t listen to them.”

But the chalk-man stepped forward, his bloody grin wider than ever.
“She can’t ignore it anymore. The mark demands blood… and she must pay.”

Chidinma’s hands burned hotter, glowing like molten iron.
Her chest heaved.
Her eyes flickered between terror and rage.

“I don’t want this!” she screamed.
But the voice inside her head answered with a chilling calm:
"Then let us take control. Just one drop of blood… and it will all be easier."

Her knees weakened. She could feel it—something ancient crawling inside her veins, urging her to surrender.

Suddenly—
A cultist charged with a machete raised high.

Amaka fired—click.
Empty.

The machete fell—
But Chidinma’s hand shot up on instinct.

BLAZE! 🔥
A wave of red fire erupted, consuming the man in seconds. His screams filled the room as he crumbled into ash before their eyes.

Silence.
Even the cultists froze.

Chidinma stared at her hands, trembling.
“I… killed him.”

Amaka grabbed her face, forcing her to look into her eyes.
“You defended yourself. You didn’t choose this—but now it’s here, and you must decide how to use it.”

The chalk-man’s laugh shook the air.
“She’s already chosen. Look at her! Every time she kills, the mark grows stronger. Soon, she won’t need anyone. Not even you, Amaka.”

Chidinma’s tears glowed red as they fell.
Her voice cracked:
“Amaka… I feel it changing me. What if I become the monster they say I am?”

The cultists began chanting louder, their voices pounding like drums:
"The fire must be fed! The mark must be fed!"

The floorboards split.
A red circle of symbols burned beneath Chidinma’s feet.
She screamed as the light chained itself around her body.

The chalk-man raised his hands.
“The seal is open. Tonight, the price will be paid in full.”

The chains dragged Chidinma to her knees, her body convulsing as the fire inside her threatened to explode.

Amaka wrapped her arms around her, shouting:
“Fight it! Don’t let them take you!”

But the whisper in Chidinma’s head was louder than Amaka’s voice now—
"Give in. Give us your blood… or lose everyone you love."

Her eyes snapped open—
Glowing red like flames.

Darkness slammed down.

EPISODE 11 – (The Girl Who Burned the Shadows)

The world went silent for a split second—
Then BOOM!

A violent surge of red light exploded from Chidinma’s body, tearing through the cultists like a storm. The floorboards cracked, the ceiling groaned, and windows shattered into glittering dust.

The men screamed as the force flung them backward, their bodies crashing against walls with sickening thuds. Torches went out instantly—snuffed like weak candles in a hurricane.

But in the middle of the chaos…
Chidinma stood, her entire body glowing like fire trapped inside glass.

Her eyes weren’t her own anymore.

Amaka shielded her face from the blast, coughing through the dust.
“Chidinma!” she shouted, but the girl didn’t respond.

Her chest heaved like something inside her was breathing through her.
Every step she took cracked the tiles beneath her feet.
The cultists tried to rise again, but their machetes burned hot in their hands, searing their palms until they screamed and dropped them.

Still, they whispered in terror:
“Daughter of the Flame…”
“Daughter of the Flame…”

The chalk-man grinned, his teeth glowing in the red haze.
“Yes! You see it now. She’s not a child anymore—she’s the weapon we’ve been waiting for.”

He stepped closer, arms wide like a priest welcoming a goddess.
“They will kneel. And when they kneel, the city will kneel too.”

Amaka’s eyes widened.
“No!” she shouted, pointing her gun at him.
“You’re not taking her!”

The chalk-man’s voice deepened, almost inhuman.
“She was never yours to protect.”

He turned to Chidinma, his voice softening like a lover’s whisper.
“Speak the word, child. Command them. Make them your army.”

Chidinma’s lips parted.
The glowing veins on her neck pulsed brighter.
Inside her mind, the whispers roared louder:

“They hurt you. They would have killed you. Make them bow. Make them bleed. Take what is yours.”

Tears rolled down her cheeks.
She looked at her burning hands, trembling.
“I don’t want this… I just want to be free…”

Amaka grabbed her, shaking her shoulders.
“Listen to me! Freedom doesn’t come from power—it comes from choice. Don’t let them use you like everyone else has. You’re not a weapon. You’re still you, Chidinma. Do you hear me? You’re still you!”

For a brief second, the red glow dimmed.
The whispers grew fainter.

But then the chalk-man roared, his own eyes blazing.
“Do you think she can escape her destiny? She is the fire. And fire… only consumes.”

The cultists rose again, their fear now twisted into devotion.
They fell to their knees, chanting louder, their voices shaking the walls:
“Daughter of the Flame! Daughter of the Flame!”

Amaka pulled her pistol, standing in front of Chidinma like a shield.
“You want her?” she spat. “You’ll have to go through me.”

The chalk-man’s grin widened.
“Oh, I was hoping you’d say that.”

The cultists surged forward in unison, their eyes glowing faint red, their devotion stronger than their fear.
Chidinma clutched her glowing chest, her body trembling violently as if something inside her was about to break free again.

Amaka raised her gun, heart pounding.
The chalk-man whispered into the air:
“Burn them all, my child. Burn them, and be reborn.”

And as the first cultist swung his machete down—
Chidinma screamed.

EPISODE 10 – (The siege)

The footsteps outside grew louder—dozens of them, surrounding the house like wolves circling their prey.

Chidinma’s heart raced, her hand locked in Amaka’s. She could feel the glow inside her pulsing stronger, as though it wanted to burst free again.

Amaka dragged her toward the back door.
“We don’t have time,” she whispered harshly.
But before they could move, the chalk-man’s laugh echoed through the room.

“You can’t run. They’ve come for her. And if she doesn’t surrender… the whole house burns tonight.”

The windows shattered.
Dark figures poured in—men with machetes, iron rods, and burning torches. Their faces were painted with strange marks, like they belonged to some hidden cult.

One of them hissed:
“Bring the girl!”

Amaka raised her gun, firing—BANG! BANG!
Two men fell, but more kept rushing in, undeterred.

Chidinma stumbled backward, clutching her glowing chest.
Her veins lit up like fire, her body shaking uncontrollably.
“Amaka! I can’t hold it!” she cried.

The chalk-man stepped forward, eyes blazing red.
“Let it out, child. Don’t fight it. The mark was never meant to be caged.”

Amaka pushed Chidinma behind her, firing another shot.
“Don’t listen to him! That power isn’t his—it’s yours!”

But the whispers inside Chidinma’s head grew louder, almost deafening now:
“Break the seal. Spill the blood. End the fight.”

Her knees buckled. She collapsed to the floor, her hands glowing brighter and brighter, until the entire room was bathed in red light.

The cultists froze, their weapons trembling in their hands.
The chalk-man smiled wider.
“Yes… yes! That’s it. Show them who you are!”

Chidinma’s scream ripped through the house.
A wave of red energy exploded outward, shattering windows, slamming bodies against the walls. Machetes and torches flew from their hands.

When the light faded, the men groaned on the floor—but Chidinma was standing. Her eyes glowed faintly, her hands still burning with that terrifying light.

Everyone stared.
Even Amaka.

Chidinma looked down at her hands, horrified.
“I… I did this. I hurt them…”

The chalk-man laughed, his voice echoing like thunder.
“You didn’t hurt them. You became what you were born to be.”

Chidinma shook her head, tears streaking her glowing face.
“No… this isn’t me… it can’t be…”

Amaka grabbed her shoulders, looking her dead in the eyes.
“Listen to me, Chidinma. That power will either make you… or destroy you. But right now, we don’t have a choice. If you want to live—if you want to be free—you must fight.”

The cultists began to rise again, their eyes filled with fear but their loyalty stronger than death. The chalk-man raised his hand, commanding them forward.

Amaka tightened her grip on Chidinma’s arm.
“This is it. If you run, you’ll never stop running. If you fight, you change everything.”

Chidinma’s breath shook.
Her glowing hands trembled.
Her choice hung heavy in the air.

And as the cultists charged again—she screamed.

Darkness swallowed the screen.

EPISODE 9 – (The Mark Inside Her)

Darkness.
Heavy, suffocating.
Chidinma couldn’t see, but she could feel—her chest burning like fire, her veins pulsing with something not her own.

Whispers filled the air.
Not from the room.
From inside her head.

"You are mine… you were always mine…"

She clutched her ears, screaming.
"Amaka! Make it stop!"

Suddenly, a single gunshot cut through the dark.
BANG!

The flash lit up the room for a split second—enough for Chidinma to see the chalk-man’s face.
The bullet had missed.
He was still smiling.

"Bullets cannot kill what was promised," he hissed.

The red glow from the chalk lines spread wider now, crawling across the ceiling like veins of fire.
And Chidinma’s body answered.
Her hands trembled, her skin glowing faintly, symbols dancing across her arms like tattoos written in blood.

She stumbled back.
"I… I don’t want this! Take it out of me!"

But the chalk-man shook his head.
"It is not something you carry. It is what you are."

Amaka grabbed Chidinma, pulling her close.
"Don’t listen to him. Fight it. Fight it with everything you have!"

But the whispers only grew louder.
"Don’t fight. Surrender. One step… and it will all be over."

Chidinma fell to her knees, her vision swimming.
Tears streamed down her face.
"Amaka… what is happening to me?!"

The chalk-man’s voice deepened, echoing against the walls.
"She was marked the day she was born. You knew this, Amaka. That’s why you took her under your wing. But you cannot protect her forever."

Chidinma looked up at Amaka in shock.
"Is… is it true?!"

Amaka’s face twisted with pain.
"I wanted to protect you until you were strong enough to know. But now… they’ve found you."

The machete-man, still frozen under the chalk-man’s spell, suddenly stirred.
His eyes snapped back to life.
With a roar, he charged again—this time straight at Chidinma.

Amaka fired—
BANG!
The man collapsed.

But in that same instant, Chidinma’s body reacted on its own.
A blast of red light burst out from her chest, slamming the chalk-man against the wall.

Everyone froze.
Even Chidinma.
Her hands shook, still glowing faintly.

"I… I did that?" she whispered.

Amaka’s voice was low, almost reverent.
"Yes. And if you don’t control it… it will destroy you."

The chalk-man rose to his feet, wiping blood from his mouth, and laughed.
"Good… very good. The mark has awakened. Now the real hunt begins."

And from outside, more footsteps echoed—dozens of them.
Shadows gathered at the windows, surrounding the house.

Amaka gripped Chidinma’s hand.
Her voice was firm, urgent.
"We have to choose now: run… or start a war."

EPISODE 8 – (The Man with the Red Chalk)

The tall figure at the back door didn’t move.
The red chalk glowed faintly under the moonlight, like it carried secrets of blood.

Chidinma froze, her breath caught in her throat.
Her knees trembled, but her eyes couldn’t leave the chalk.

Amaka shoved her behind with one hand, pistol raised with the other.
"Move aside," Amaka barked, voice sharp and cold.
But the man only smiled.

His teeth gleamed in the dark.
"You think bullets can stop what has already been marked?"

He lifted the chalk, dragging it slowly against the wall.
A strange humming sound rose from the line he drew—like whispers carried by the night wind.

Chidinma clutched Amaka’s arm, voice breaking:
"Amaka… what is he doing?"

But Amaka’s eyes narrowed, her jaw clenched.
"Something I prayed you would never see."

The man’s voice deepened, almost unearthly.
"The debt must be paid. Tonight, the bloodline ends."

Suddenly—BOOM!
The front door crashed open.
The men with the machete stormed in, their footsteps thundering across the floorboards.

Amaka fired—BANG!
One man fell, clutching his shoulder.
But the other kept coming, machete raised high.

Chidinma screamed.

Before the machete could strike, the man with the chalk raised his hand.
"STOP."

The machete man froze mid-swing, his eyes glazing over like a puppet under control.
Amaka’s finger tightened on the trigger, but something inside her wavered.

The chalk-man’s smile widened.
"You should have told her, Amaka. You should have told her what she is."

Chidinma’s heart dropped.
Her voice trembled:
"What… what does he mean?"

Amaka’s hand shook for the first time.
Her eyes, fierce and unyielding until now, glistened with regret.
"Chidinma… this is not the night for answers. Run!"

But Chidinma didn’t move.
Her world was spinning, every word cutting deeper.

The man with the chalk stepped forward, voice like thunder:
"She cannot run. Her shadow belongs to me. And tonight—"

He lifted the chalk high, pressing it against the doorframe.
Red sparks flared, and the air grew heavy.

"—tonight, the seal will be complete."

As the red light spread across the walls, Chidinma’s body began to glow faintly—like a mark was awakening inside her.
She gasped, clutching her chest.
"Amaka… what’s happening to me?"

Amaka raised the gun, pointing it directly at the chalk-man’s head.
Her voice shook with rage:
"Over my dead body."

Then—darkness swallowed the room.
