"Charity they say begins at home"
Something happened on my way back home yesterday from work.
One married man I know very well offered to give me a lift to my destination.
He said, come let me drop you home mummy Chris. ( Many girls will never reject this offer)
Immediately, I changed my mind and told him that, I wasn't going home from work. I let him know that I will be heading to the market.
Inside my mind I kept on saying "charity begins at home"
And why did I keep saying that in my mind?
This same man that wanted to give me a free ride.
I know his wife very well. Infact we attend the same church but, I have never seen him drop his wife off to anywhere or even to the market.
Is either she is with the kids inside a Keke or on the bike with her two kids.
I felt for the wife and kids.
And this was enough reason for me to reject a free ride from a married man.
Because "charity begins at home"
If he is looking for people to give a free ride let him start with his wife and kids not me😂😂
See, let me tell you, anything I cannot do for my family first, I will not do for anybody else outside.
The truth is:
A lot of us are like this.
We are always ready to help outsiders more than we do for our family members.( Why is it so?)
