🚨 BEFORE YOU BUY THAT LAND, HAVE YOU ACTUALLY SEEN WHAT SURROUNDS IT? 🏗️🏡

A property is more than the plot of land on paper.

Location matters. Environment matters. Accessibility matters.

That’s why, when inspecting a site, I like to show more than just the land itself. In this video, we are taking a proper look at the site and its surroundings:

1. The Site – A clear view of the actual location of the property.

2. Access Road – The road linking the property to the main road and how accessible the site is.

3. Neighbourhood – Identifying the surrounding community/town and giving you a better understanding of where the property is situated.

4. Climate & Weather Conditions – Observing the general environmental and weather conditions that may affect development and living in the area.

5. Transportation – Looking at the available means of transportation and how easy it is to move in and out of the location.

🔄 6. 360° Environment View – A complete view of the surroundings so you can see what is actually happening around the property.

Because buying land is not just about owning the plot… it is about understanding the location.

👉 Before you commit your money to any property, LOOK BEYOND THE PLOT.

Now, this doesn't mean education is useless. Far from it.

Education matters.

But perhaps we need to stop making children believe that their examination scores are the complete definition of who they are.

“What if the child you call ‘not serious in school’

is actually smarter than you think?”

A 12-year-old JSS2 student recently stood before an audience and made a statement that should make every parent, teacher and young person pause:

“Grades are not a true measure of intelligence.”

And then came the example that got people talking…

✍️ We have been taught from childhood that good grades = intelligence and poor grades = failure.

But is that really true?

This young JSS2 student challenged that mindset during a debate, reminding us that some people may struggle academically but still go on to discover extraordinary talents and build successful lives.

He even mentioned 2Baba (2Face Idibia) as an example of someone who did not follow the traditional academic path but later became a highly successful Nigerian musician.

Now, this doesn't mean education is useless.

Far from it.

Education matters.
But perhaps we need to stop making children believe that their examination scores are the complete definition of who they are.

A child can be brilliant at music, business, technology, leadership, creativity, sports, communication or problem-solving and still not be the person who comes first in class.

🤔 So here's the question:

Should we measure a child's intelligence by examination grades alone?

Or should schools and parents do more to discover and develop the different talents children possess?

🚨 "That chamfered corner is NOT your land!" 🚨

One of the most common arguments on construction sites happens at the chamfer.

Many landowners see the chamfered corner of their plot and insist, "That space belongs to me. Why are you cutting it off?"

The truth is that chamfering is an important planning and surveying requirement, especially on corner plots. It improves visibility for road users, enhances safety at intersections, and creates enough space for vehicles to turn without obstruction.

So, even if it appears to be part of your plot, the chamfer is not meant to be built on or fenced as private land. Ignoring it can lead to approval issues, demolition, or disputes with planning authorities.

📌 Always confirm your plot dimensions, setbacks, and chamfer requirements with a registered surveyor and the relevant planning authority before construction.
