MARRY A MAN THAT HAS SENSE!!

Last night, I pulled out chicken from the freezer because I want to cook chicken today. I was supposed to put the chicken in the fridge before going to bed but I forgot about it and left it outside.

I just woke up now and remembered I left chicken outside to defrost, I sprung out my bed and headed downstairs while praying for the chicken to not go bad after being outside for about 12 hours.

On reaching the kitchen, I scanned every corner from the kitchen door and couldn’t find the chicken because my husband put it in the fridge before going to bed.

I didn’t even tell him about the chicken because I trusted myself so much and I thought I’d remember to put it in the fridge.

He used his initiative because he knows I wouldn’t leave the chicken out all night and that my friends is why you need to MARRY A MAN THAT HAS SENSE because if my husband hadn’t put the chicken in the fridge last night, It probably would have ended up in the bin this morning.

Happy New Month guys

LIVING ABROAD VS LIVING IN NIGERIA

Living abroad teaches you that some of the things we see as luxury in Nigeria are basic amenities cos everyone enjoys same privilege.
You can’t tell if someone is wealthy by just looking at them unlike in Nigeria, you can easily tell if someone is rich by just looking at them.

Food is very affordable abroad, anyone can afford food unlike Nigeria where good food is like goldšŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Healthcare is free in the UK if you pay your Immigration Health Surcharge when applying for your visa and some skilled worker visa fees does not include the IHS fees because of your contribution to the health care system.
In Nigeria you have to pay your hospital bills yourself even in government hospitals.

Public Primary and Secondary schools are free in the UK. I’m not sure about Nigeria but to attend a decent primary or secondary school in Naija, it has to be a private school cos the government schools are nothing to write home about.

There’s electricity 24/7 abroad but I can’t say thesame for Nigeria.

While I would choose living abroad over living in Nigeria any time, any day.

Here are some of the things I love about Nigeria

Annual rent: In the UK we pay our rent every month and in Nigeria rent is annually.

Weather: You don’t know the importance of sunshine until you go to a place where you don’t have that much sun ā˜€ļø

Family: I am lucky to have family here(mostly my in-laws and family friends) but it can get really lonely sometimes.

Lastly, Nigeria is such a lively country. Na only bad government and corruption spoil am.

WHEN YOU GO TO YOUR HUSBAND’S HOUSE!

I was blending pepper with my mini blender this morning then I remembered when my mum would ask me to use a grinding stone and I would complain and her response every time would be, ā€œIf you don’t learn now, who would do it for you when you go to your husband’s house?ā€.

Bear in mind that we had an electric blender o but where you see NEPA light?šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

We also had a small mortar and pestle that we used to pound the ingredients which we (my sisters and I) preferred to the grinding stone but my mum preferred the grinding stone.

I remember always telling her that I won’t be using a grinding stone in my home because I won’t be needing it as technology is always improving and things are always changing.

I am in my husband’s house and I am happy to announce that I don’t use a grinding stone at allšŸ˜‚

NAIJA CARE TAKER WAHALA

So a care taker has been taking 1.3m naira from his tenants for the past 3 years when the actual rent is 500k. Both landlord and tenants had no idea for 3years.

So he takes 1.3m and pays landlord 500k and keeps 800k each for 3 tenants (oshey sharp guyšŸ˜‚)

Apparently, the landlord went to check his property after 3 years and his tenants were begging him to drop the rent from 1.3m to 1m because of the economic hardship and the landlord was shocked cos the house rent is only 500k.
