LIVING ABROAD VS LIVING IN NIGERIA
Living abroad teaches you that some of the things we see as luxury in Nigeria are basic amenities cos everyone enjoys same privilege.
You canāt tell if someone is wealthy by just looking at them unlike in Nigeria, you can easily tell if someone is rich by just looking at them.
Food is very affordable abroad, anyone can afford food unlike Nigeria where good food is like goldš¤¦š»āāļø
Healthcare is free in the UK if you pay your Immigration Health Surcharge when applying for your visa and some skilled worker visa fees does not include the IHS fees because of your contribution to the health care system.
In Nigeria you have to pay your hospital bills yourself even in government hospitals.
Public Primary and Secondary schools are free in the UK. Iām not sure about Nigeria but to attend a decent primary or secondary school in Naija, it has to be a private school cos the government schools are nothing to write home about.
Thereās electricity 24/7 abroad but I canāt say thesame for Nigeria.
While I would choose living abroad over living in Nigeria any time, any day.
Here are some of the things I love about Nigeria
Annual rent: In the UK we pay our rent every month and in Nigeria rent is annually.
Weather: You donāt know the importance of sunshine until you go to a place where you donāt have that much sun āļø
Family: I am lucky to have family here(mostly my in-laws and family friends) but it can get really lonely sometimes.
Lastly, Nigeria is such a lively country. Na only bad government and corruption spoil am.
