God has Ordained for you of
Religion what He Enjoined Upon
Noah, and that which We Revealed
to Muhammad, and what was
Enjoined upon Abraham and Moses
and Jesus - to Establish the
Religion and Not be Divided
Therein
30:32, Qur'an
[So do not be] of those who have
divided their religion and become
sects, every faction rejoicing in
what [Book] it has -
2:91, Qur'an
[For] when it is said to them,
"Believe in what God has
revealed," they say, "We believe
[only] in what was revealed to us."
3:3 - 4, Qur'an
[But indeed, God] has revealed to
you, the [Qur'an] in truth,
confirming what was before it.
And He revealed the Torah and the
Gospel before, as guidance for the
people. And He revealed the
Criterion. Indeed, those who
disbelieve in the verses of God will
have a severe punishment, and
God is Almighty, the Owner of
Retribution.
5:47, Qur'an
[So] let the People of the Gospel
judge by what God has revealed
therein. And whoever does not
judge by what God has revealed -
then it is those who are the
defiantly disobedient.
5:44, Qur'an
[And] indeed, We sent down the
Torah, in which was guidance and
light. The prophets who
submitted [to God] judged by it for
the Jews, as did the rabbis and
scholars by that with which they
were entrusted of the Scripture of
God, and they were witnesses
thereto. So do not fear the people
but fear Me, and do not exchange
My verses for a small price. And
whoever does not judge by what
God has revealed - then it is those
who are the disbelievers.
4:105, Qur'an
[And] indeed, We have revealed to
you the [Qur'an] in truth so you
may judge between the people by
that which God has shown you.
And do not be for the deceitful an
advocate -
2:113, Qur'an
[For] the Jews say "The Christians
have nothing [true] to stand on,"
and the Christians say, "The Jews
have nothing to stand on,"
although they [both] recite the
Scripture. Thus the polytheists
[including the Sunni, Shia, and
Qur'anist Muslims] speak the same
as their words [and say, "The Jews
and the Christians have nothing
true to stand on"]. But God will
judge between them on the Day of
Resurrection concerning that over
which they used to differ.
4:136, Qur'an
[So] O you who have
believed, believe in God and His
messenger and the Book that He
sent down upon His messenger,
and the Scripture which He sent
down before. And whoever
disbelieves in God, His Books, His
messengers, His angels, and the
Last Day has certainly gone far
astray -
42:13, Qur'an
[For] He has ordained for you of
religion what He enjoined upon
Noah and that which We have
revealed to you [O Muhammad],
and what We enjoined upon
Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to
establish the religion and not be
divided therein. Difficult for those
who associate others with God is
that to which you invite them.
God chooses for Himself whom He
wills and guides to Himself
whoever turns back [to Him].
4:162 - 163, Qur'an
[Thus] those firm in knowledge
among them and the believers
believe in what has been revealed
to you [O Muhammad], and what
was revealed before you. And the
establishers of prayer [especially]
and the givers of charity and the
believers in God and the Last Day -
those We will give a great
reward. Indeed, We have revealed
to you, as We revealed to Noah
and the prophets after him. And
We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael,
Isaac, Jacob, the [twelve] tribes [of
Israel], Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and
Solomon, and to David We gave
the Book [of Psalms].
23:52 - 53, Qur'an
"[So] indeed this, your religion, is
one religion, and I am your Lord,
so fear Me." But the people
divided their religion among them
into sects - each faction, in what
[Book] it has, rejoicing -
2:135 - 137, Qur'an
[For] they say, "Be Jews or
Christians [or Sunni or Shia or
Qur'anist Muslims so] you will be
guided." Say, "Rather, [we follow]
the religion of Abraham, inclining
toward truth, and he was not of
the polytheists." Say, "We have
believed in God and what has been
revealed to us and what has been
revealed to Abraham and Ishmael
and Isaac and Jacob and the
[twelve] tribes [of Israel] and what
was given to Moses and Jesus and
what was given to the prophets
from their Lord. We make no
distinction between any of them,
and we are in submission to Him."
So if they believe in the same as
you believe in, then they have
been [rightly] guided; but if they
turn away, they are only in
dissension, and God will be
sufficient for you against them.
And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
