DAY37| NIG2USA ON A BICYCLE 🇳🇬🚴🏾‍♂️🇺🇸
Dear Former President Barack Obama

My name is Myam Emmanuel, also known as Emmiwuks, a proud Nigerian, a Pan-African dreamer, and a voice for the forgotten.

I am currently on a solo cycling journey from Nigeria to the United States, riding through over 20 African countries, not for fame or luxury, but to raise awareness and support for orphans, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), and vulnerable children across Africa.

I ride barefoot for the ones with no shoes.
I sleep on the roadside for those without shelter.
I lift my voice every day for those whose voices have been silenced by poverty, conflict, and neglect.

President Obama, your story, as a son of Africa who rose to lead the free world , is one of the reasons I believe this mission is possible.
You taught us that hope is not just a word, but a path we walk, one step, or in my case, one pedal, at a time.

When I arrive in the United States, I would be deeply honored to meet you, to share my story, my purpose, and the dreams of the millions of children I ride for.

Because just like you inspired the world with "Yes We Can".
I hope to inspire Africa and the world to say,
"Yes, we care."

Together, let’s continue to build bridges between Africa and the world.
Not just with policies, but with love, action, and hope.

The senseless killing of another young Nigerian, who was energetic, intelligent, talented, and enterprising, at the hands of armed criminals, has left the nation reeling. This young entrepreneur had built a thriving catfish business from scratch, providing employment opportunities and value to numerous businesses and homes. His untimely death raises questions about the safety and security of Nigerians. How long will we continue to mourn the loss of our brightest minds? The alarming rate of avoidable deaths in Nigeria in recent times is a cause for concern. When we demand a better society where human life is valued and protected, we are often labeled as troublemakers. The reality is that no one is safe in Nigeria, regardless of their profession or social status. We must continue to advocate for a leadership that prioritizes the values of peaceful progress and development. Until then, we must not rest. Even those who have managed to escape or are privileged must recognize that they are not truly safe. We are still not safe. May the family and friends of the deceased find solace during this difficult time, and may his legacy live on.

Location: Accra, Ghana 🇬🇭

When I arrived Accra yesterday, it wasn’t just another stop, it was a moment that reminded me why this journey is bigger than me.

Three days ago, while I was still in Aflao, I got a message from someone I didn’t know, Pastor Richard Abomtse , Resident Pastor of Encounter Jesus Ministries International in Accra. He’d been following my journey online, quietly praying and cheering from a distance.

He told me, “Once you arrive Accra, my home is open to you, and true to his word, the moment I touched down in Accra, he came through.
A man many call Daddy, a devoted servant of God, he welcomed me like family.

This act of love and faith hit me deeply.
No protocols, no prior relationship, just pure kindness.

This journey isn't just about pedaling across borders; it’s about the hearts I meet, the hands that hold me up, and the grace that keeps finding me.

Ghana, you’ve poured nothing but love into this mission. From free shelter in small towns to open arms in the city, you’ve embraced me fully.

To Pastor Richard, your family, and your church, may heaven reward you. You didn’t just host me; you became part of this story forever.

Akwaba Ghana. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️🙏🏾

Official welcome to Ghana🇬🇭🚴
Now I understand the true meaning of Ghana and Nigeria love 💛💚
The love here is overwhelming, everywhere I turn, people are cheering, waving, and showing support. It’s beyond words.

Funny enough, Ghana people are already trying to adopt me 😅. They say I’m no longer Nigerian, that this kind of history must be rooted in Ghana.
They handed me the Ghana flag, and said, “You’re one of us now. Akwæba 🇬🇭

Na so love suppose be.
