A few days ago, I was in church when a question was asked by one of our teachers: "Can God use a madman to speak to you?"
A lot of the students were confused; none could answer as all were saying they don't know. However, there was a THOUGHT that came just behind me and explained a few things concerning the concept of prophecy regarding madmen.
Now, according to the word of God, the word of God speaks concerning how prophecy edifies the Church of God (1 Corinthians 14:3-4). Meanwhile, there's nothing that can edify the Church; the Bride of Christ, if not the revelation of the knowledge of God.
The word of God says, as we behold, we are changed (2 Corinthians 3:18). The art of prophecy is meant to change a man as the man beholds (meditates on) the mind of God (prophecy) that was shared. This is how you can be edified, exhorted, and comforted. It is only the mind of God that can activate these three things in you as a son. Why? Because it's the Spirit bringing remembrance into your soul, reminding you of who you are and how you are supposed to act in order to become who you are in Christ.
..
And so, a madman, number one, he's not born again; number two, he's possessed, meaning his soul has been possessed by a dark force, and by the reason of this, he's automatically controlled by a dark force.
Now, when a madman gives you an accurate word of knowledge, that isn't prophecy and that doesn't imply that it's from God. Understand that prophecy is the revelation of God or the intent of God to His Church, and only God knows this.
According to the word of God, the word of God says, "Who knows the mind of God that he should instruct Him?" But we (as sons of God) have the mind of Christ, and by the reason of the mind of Christ we have, we know God's mind (1 Corinthians 2:16), therefore, we prophesy.
However, a madman lacks the spiritual foundation and connection with God. Their thoughts and actions are influenced by dark forces and their own mental condition. While they may utter words that appear accurate or profound, they do not possess the divine insight that comes from God.
Therefore, we should exercise caution when considering the words of a madman. We must test the spirits and compare their message with the truth of Scripture. It is through the lens of God's Word that we can distinguish between true prophecy and the ramblings of a troubled mind.
God does not typically use madmen as vessels for His prophetic messages. Instead, He speaks to us through His Word, His Spirit, and those who are anointed and appointed by Him. Let us seek His guidance and rely on the discernment He provides to navigate the complexities of spiritual revelations.
