Where is Hamdiyya Sidi?
Sokoto State Government is accused by many as been responsible for the disappearance of Hamdiyya Sidi.
Hamdiyya went missing yesterday in the morning (around 10 am Nigerian Time). She left home to the market to buy groceries in Sokoto but hasn’t returned. She was due to appear before a court this Wednesday 21st May 2025 as her case with the State Government is nearing a verdict which many were optimistic would favour her if fairly judged.
The lawyers representing Hamdiyya, Amnesty International Nigeria and some activists—such as Dan Bello and IG Wala—of northern extraction are accusing the Sokoto State Government under Mr Ahmad Aliyu of abducting her and calling the government to as a matter of urgency disclose her whereabouts and ensure she is reunited with her loved ones.
