The removal of petrol subsidy is delivering real benefits for Nigeria, and reversing it now would recreate the fiscal pressures, distortions and scarcity of the past. Between June 2023 and December 2025, reforms mobilised ₦15.8 trillion for the Federation, reached over 10 million households through social transfers, and funded ₦6.47 trillion in strategic infrastructure. As Hon.
