Most people complain about food prices. Few ask what farmers go through before food reaches the market.

Unpredictable weather. High transport costs. Expensive inputs. Yet farmers keep working to feed the nation.

Vice President Kashim Shettima has fllaged of the distribution of farm inputs under the Renewed Hope Farm Input Support Programme, a major initiative aimed at strengthening food security and boosting agricultural productivity across Nigeria.

The programme, driven by the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF), is an initiative to support 50,000 smallholder farmers across the country.

The Federal government promised that farmers will benefit from a 75% subsidy on fertiliser, with a focus on maize, rice, cassava, and soybeans.
