Davido’s Father Denies Paternity Claims, Cites DNA Evidence
The father of Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has addressed recent paternity allegations involving his son, firmly denying the claims.
Speaking during a press briefing, billionaire businessman Adedeji Adeleke stated that the Adeleke family has conducted multiple DNA tests regarding Anu, the young girl alleged to be Davido’s daughter. According to him, all results confirmed that Davido is not the child’s biological father.
Mr. Adeleke emphasized that the family would have gladly accepted the child if the DNA tests had proven otherwise. He also urged the girl and her guardians to stop publicly presenting her as Davido’s daughter, noting that the matter had been conclusively resolved through scientific evidence.
The development follows repeated claims by the child’s mother, Ayo Labinjoh, who has consistently called for a DNA test to establish paternity. Davido had earlier denied fathering the child.
The controversy resurfaced on January 15, 2025, after an Instagram post from an account managed by Labinjoh made an emotional appeal to the singer. The post alleged that the child had suffered years of bullying and ridicule at school due to the unresolved paternity dispute.
Despite renewed public attention, the Adeleke family maintains that the issue has been settled and has called for respect for all parties involved.
