As AI becomes more powerful and widely used, the amount of computing power needed to run it is growing rapidly. Altman argues that future AI pricing will depend heavily on compute availability, making AI usage-based billing a natural model for the industry.

MTN CEO Karl Toriola claims there’s no unlimited data anywhere in the world unless you’re paying a fortune for it, Nigerians abroad share screenshot of what they pay for unlimited data abroad to counter him

During a recent event, Karl said “The issue of unlimited data on mobile networks: it doesn’t exist anywhere in the world except if you’re paying a fortune. There’s a limit because you can never build enough capacity for everyone to be on an unlimited bundle, and you think you’ll provide a quality of service that is decent”.

However, some Nigerians abroad pushed back, noting that unlimited data costs them no more than the equivalent of three hours of work at minimum wage in some countries like UK.
