THREE TYPES OF CARDINALS IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

1. Cardinal Bishops

They hold the highest rank among the cardinals.
Typically come from suburbicarian dioceses around Rome or are directly appointed by the Pope as cardinal bishops.
They often play important roles in the universal Church.

2. Cardinal Priests

Usually bishops of major dioceses around the world.
Assigned to titular churches in Rome, but actually lead dioceses outside of Italy.
They are the most numerous among the three types of cardinals.

3. Cardinal Deacons

Generally serve in the Roman Curia (the central government of the Catholic Church).
Assigned to deaconries in Rome. After 10 years, they may opt to become cardinal priests.

Generous Gesture In a heartwarming display of appreciation, Hon. Emmanuel Idi Yakubu, the Vice Chairman of Ogoja Council, has donated his March salary and rice to the 10 APC Ward Chairmen in Ogoja. This kind gesture is in commemoration of the Easter celebration and a testament to the Vice Chairman's commitment to his party colleagues.

The APC Ward Chairmen Forum expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Vice Chairman for his generosity. Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong MOVES MOTION ENDORSING GOVERNOR OTU AND DEPUTY FOR SECOND TERM

Calabar, April 15, 2025 In a significant political development, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, representing Cross River South Senatorial District, has moved a motion endorsing Governor Bassey Edet Otu and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, for a second term in office.

The motion was presented during the expanded All Progressives Congress (APC) Cross River State Caucus meeting held at Hogis Royale Hotel in Calabar. The gathering brought together key stakeholders, party leaders, and loyalists from across the state.
