15TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR C

IN CHRIST WE ARE CHALLENGED TO PRIORITIZE LOVE OF GOD/NEIGHBOR OVER AND ABOVE RELIGIOUS LAW AND PURITY.

Every religious norm/custom must have a human face.

Jesus, like the Samaritan (Lk10:25-37) does not reject or abandon us but he stops to be with us, to raise us up and to help us out of our brokenness brought about by sin.
In doing this, Jesus does not get contaminated by our sin and misery but he binds our wound (caused by sin), transforms us, rebrands and heals us of our brokenness..
We are therefore called to love and compassion like Jesus, to love people despite their sin and weakness and lead them through love to Jesus.
