Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu, on Wednesday asked the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee investigating the controversial inclusion of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) in the 2026 Appropriation Act to obtain a reproduction warrant from a competent court before the police could produce the embattled Director-General of the council, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Mathew, who is currently in custody.

Sunday Igboho: The DSS killed a cat thinking it was me during the 2021 raid on my residence.

Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, says operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) killed a cat during a raid on his Ibadan residence in July 2021 after mistaking it for him.

Speaking on Monday at his residence in Ibadan, State, while hosting a delegation of Muslim clerics, Igboho also alleged that the DSS operatives brought a “fake herbalist” to perform rituals in an attempt to locate him during the operation.

Igboho said he remained inside the house throughout the operation despite the presence of security operatives around the property.

UK court jails 19-year-old Nigerian student for robbery, blackmail

Leicester Crown Court in the United Kingdom (UK) has jailed Richile Vangu and Oluwatobiloba Akinrinola for robbery and forcing partygoers to dance at knifepoint.

According to the BBC, Steven Evans, the trial judge, on Monday, sentenced Vangu, a 20-year-old student, to 11 years’ imprisonment, while Akinrinola, a 19-year-old Nigerian student, was jailed for seven years.
