Allah…
Ramadan has come again, and I don’t know if this will be my last. Last year I had plans. Some of those who stood in Taraweeh beside us are now beneath the earth. Their voices are silent. Their homes feel empty. And I am still here. Not because I am better. But because You gave me another chance.
Ya Rabb, do not let me waste it.
Forgive the sins I committed in secret. Forgive the hypocrisy I hid behind smiles. Forgive the prayers I delayed, the Qur’an I ignored, the hearts I hurt, the time I wasted. Clean my record before I stand before You on a Day when no excuse will survive.
Ya Allah, I am tired of fighting myself. I want to be sincere. I want to worship You without showing off. I want to cry in sujood not because people are watching, but because my heart finally feels You.
If this Ramadan is written as my last, let it be the Ramadan that changes everything.
Write my name among those forgiven on the first night. Write my name among those freed from the Fire. Write my name among the successful. Do not let me leave this month the same as I entered it.
Ya Allah, break my attachment to dunya. If wealth distracts me, remove its love from my heart. If relationships pull me away from You, fix them or distance them. If my phone, my ego, my desires control me, give me strength to control them for Your sake.
Make the Qur’an the light of my chest. Make fasting a shield for my soul. Make Taraweeh heavy on my scale. Accept every tear, even the ones that never fall but burn inside.
Ya Rahman, heal the sick among us. Have mercy on those in their graves. Strengthen the oppressed. Feed the hungry. Guide the youth drowning in confusion. Bring back those who walked away from You.
And if I fall again after Ramadan, pull me back. Do not let Shaytan celebrate over me. Let my sins embarrass me enough to return quickly.
Ya Allah, when Laylatul Qadr comes, let me not miss it. Even if my body is weak, wake my heart.
Accept from us. Forgive us. Change us.
