I’m not against Wike demolishing houses in Abuja.

But I have one simple question:

The FCDA officials who approved these buildings and inspected them during construction—what happens to them?

These houses didn’t build themselves.

Someone approved the plans. Someone inspected the buildings. Someone gave people the confidence to spend millions building on those plots.

So if the houses are now being demolished because they violated the Abuja Master Plan, what happens to the people who approved them in the first place?

If the developer did something wrong, fine—let them answer for it.

But shouldn’t the FCDA officials who approved and inspected those buildings also be held accountable?

That’s all I’m asking.

Question of the day?
Would you go into business with someone you DON’T trust, if they have the exact skills, connections, money, or leverage you need to succeed?

Let me give you the backstory

I was having a conversation with a friend about business, and I said, I can’t go into business with someone I don’t trust.

He laughed and said, Oge, business is not always about trust.

According to him, sometimes it’s about leverage, connections, money, access and skills.

He said if the person has exactly what you need to succeed, and you have a properly structured business, solid contracts and legal documentation in place, why does it matter whether you trust them or not?

Hmmmm. 🤔

And honestly, I’ve been thinking about it.

Because I’m still not sure I agree.

So let me ask you:

Would you go into business with someone you DON’T trust because they have the money, connections, skills or leverage you need?

Or is trust non-negotiable when choosing a business partner?

I really want to hear both sides of this one.

Don’t just say YES or NO. Tell me WHY.
