JUST IN: Tinubu Must Return in 2027’ – Tompolo Gives Reason, Calls on Nigerians to Back President

Former Niger Delta militant leader and businessman, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has appealed to Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027, arguing that the administration should be given the opportunity to complete its ongoing reforms.

Tompolo made the appeal in a statement issued in Abuja and signed by the National Coordinator of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Adekanbi Asuku.

Explaining why he believes "Tinubu must return in 2027," Tompolo said the current administration's economic and structural reforms are already producing encouraging results and should be allowed to continue.

He stated, "The president has started so many economic reforms, the benefits of which we are beginning to see.

These reforms are now delivering tangible results as shown in key economic indicators, including Gross Domestic Product and other microeconomic indices. His re-election is critical to drive these reforms to a logical conclusion."

He urged Nigerians to unite behind the President's second-term ambition, stressing that every vote would count in the next general election.

According to him, members of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Door-to-Door Movement are committed to reaching communities across the country to mobilise support through grassroots engagement.

Tompolo disclosed that the movement planned to inaugurate its national executive members on July 9, 2026, at the Transcorp Event Centre in Abuja as part of efforts to strengthen nationwide mobilisation and encourage greater civic participation.

He explained that the organisation was established as a grassroots platform to promote national development while supporting the Federal Government's Renewed Hope agenda through direct engagement with communities across Nigeria.

According to Tompolo, the movement intends to take its campaign directly to households nationwide by educating citizens about government policies, economic reforms and infrastructure projects at the ward and local government levels.

He added that the initiative would also focus on voter education by encouraging eligible Nigerians to register, understand the electoral process and actively participate in future elections.

The movement, founded and sponsored by Tompolo, relies largely on community volunteers and places significant emphasis on empowering women and young people as part of its grassroots outreach programmes.

He expressed confidence that sustained public support for the administration would help consolidate the reforms already underway and contribute to long-term national development.

The UK has updated its visa requirements, with nationals from 33 African countries now required to obtain a visa to enter or transit through the country.

PETER OBI MUST APOLOGISE TO AIRPORT STAFF AND PAY N25,000 FINE FOR WRONG PARKING AT AIRPORT..FESTUS KEYAMO

As the Minister of Aviation, I felt a moral duty to investigate and authenticate the claim made by opposition candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, a few days ago that the tyres of his car were ‘unjustly’ clamped at the airport, suggesting a ‘persecution agenda’ against him by the Federal Government. Politics aside, every Nigerian is entitled to fair treatment under the law.

I therefore instituted an internal inquiry over the issue.

Luckily enough, the entire Abuja airport is covered by CCTV cameras, real-time, 24/7. But apparently, this fact was unknown to Mr. Peter Obi. Otherwise, perhaps he would have been more circumspect before rushing to the media to cry ‘persecution’.

From the recordings, these are the facts:

1. On Saturday, July 4th, 2026, Mr. Obi arrived at the domestic wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at exactly 20:28 pm, driven by a Policeman. He alighted with two other occupants and went into the terminal building.

2. The Police driver then parked the vehicle, almost blocking the entrance and came out himself and went into the terminal building too. The airport rule is that, apart from the fact that it is a drop-off zone, a driver must remain behind the wheels of the vehicle for it to be tolerated for some time within that zone. Still the vehicle tyres were not clamped.

3. The Policeman came back to the vehicle at about 20:32pm and collected something from the vehicle and went back into the building again, leaving the vehicle unattended to.

4. At this point, the dutiful airport security staff came over and clamped the tyres of the car. In doing this, contrary to the claims by Peter Obi, nobody was inside the car and so nobody knew whether it was his car (not that it should matter, anyway).

5. When the Policeman returned again and discovered the tyres were clamped, he was directed to an office and upon getting there, he called Mr. Peter Obi on his phone and gave the phone to the manager. Mr. Peter Obi then introduced himself and spoke with the manager, peddled his ‘influence’ and requested for the release of the vehicle. His vehicle was then released without him paying the necessary fine.

6. It is important to note that the time the vehicle was parked unattended to in that prohibited zone was about 30 minutes, which constitutes a security risk at an airport by global best practices.

What has emerged from this is a clear case of an opposition candidate trying to whip up unnecessary sentiments for a wrong he committed with his driver. The excuse which Mr. Peter Obi gave that there were other offenders too on that day (which is completely false) cannot be an excuse for an individual aspiring to be President of Nigeria. He must live above board.

This is a matter that was not even mentioned at all by the airport authorities and had been put to rest. But ever determined to milk any situation to score cheap political points, Mr. Peter Obi decided to go on air to render a false narrative.

Therefore, he must also face the consequences of his actions. (I have attached the CCTV footages to this statement for the public to clearly see what transpired.)

In the circumstances, consistent with the principle of equality before the law, as Minister of Aviation, I make the following demands on Mr. Peter Obi:

1. That he tenders an unreserved, public apology to those hardworking, ordinary Nigerian workers at the airport, just doing their jobs dutifully and whom he sought to blackmail as his ‘persecutors’.

2. That Mr. Peter Obi voluntarily goes back to the airport and pay the appropriate fine of N25,000 for wrongful parking at the airport for which he used ‘influence peddling’ to bully his way out on that day. He cannot be bigger than the law.

If these demands are not met within one week, I will be giving the necessary directives to the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to take the next steps against him.

Tears As Nigerian Woman D!es Three Days After Arriving UK For Son’s Graduation

A Nigerian woman, Oluranti Akinyemi, has d!ed in the United Kingdom shortly after reportedly arriving in the country for her son’s graduation ceremony.

A fundraising campaign was launched on JustGiving to raise £20,000 to repatriate her remains to Nigeria and cover related expenses. As of Wednesday, £2,087 had been raised from 97 donors.

In the appeal posted on the platform, Adekunle Ogundana said the funds would be used for her repatriation and funeral.

“Help us bring our sister, mother, friend and beloved home, Mrs Oluranti Olufunmilayo Esther Akinyemi (née Oluwalana/Ogundana),” he wrote.

According to the post, Akinyemi travelled to the UK to attend her son’s graduation but suffered a cardiac arrest less than 20 hours after arrival.

“She suffered a sudden cardiac arrest in the middle of the night and was rushed to Luton and Dunstable Hospital. After three days on life support, she was declared clinically dead,” the statement read.

The family described the incident as sudden and devastating, noting that funds were urgently needed to repatriate her body to Nigeria, settle outstanding medical bills in the UK, and cover funeral expenses.

Akinyemi, believed to be a mother of four, reportedly arrived in the UK on February 11 for a graduation scheduled for February 18.

A UK-based X user, , who shared the fundraising link, stated that she suffered cardiac arrest on February 12 and remained in a coma for three days before she was confirmed dead on February 14, 2026.

One user, , urged travellers to stay hydrated, avoid excessive alcohol and caffeine, move around during long flights, and consider compression socks to aid circulation.

“These will help keep blood circulation active and warm enough to welcome cold weather. This is not the first time we are losing our parents to the cold hands of death in a similar situation,” the post read.

Another user, , recounted a similar incident involving a woman who reportedly collapsed after arriving in the UK for childcare support.

“This was how a woman I used to know in Sangotedo market died a few years ago. Her daughter gave birth abroad, and she went for omugwo.

“They said she collapsed as soon as she got out of the plane when they landed, and they took her to the hospital, and she was confirmed dead,” noted.

A user, , called for better medical collaboration between health authorities and the aviation industry to address travel-related health emergencies.

“If Nigeria were a serious, sensible country, we should have a Pulmonary Embolism Team that works diligently with the aviation industry to create a guideline,” .

The incident comes amid reports of other Nigerian deaths in the UK, including that of Saburi Adeniji, who died after battling a severe brain stem injury.

The Mother Of The Child Narrated That;

She left the baby with her two sons while she went out to buy food.
