CAF🌍 has doubled the prize money for the preliminary stages of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup from $50,000 to $100,000 😱
Remo Stars SC🇳🇬, Rivers United FC🇳🇬, Abia Warriors FC🇳🇬, and Kwara United FC🇳🇬 will now receive $100,000 (₦148,923,000.00), compared to the $50,000 awarded to clubs last season.
💰 Each club will get $50,000 (₦74,784,000.00) before the start of the qualifying round.
💰 The remaining $50,000 (₦74,784,000.00) will be given to clubs eliminated in the qualifying rounds i.e those unable to reach the group stage.
For teams that qualify for the group stage, the figures become even more attractive:
🏆 CAF Confederation Cup: up to $400,000
🏆 CAF Champions League: up to $700,000
Honestly, CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe🇿🇦 has proven to be the most progressive leader in the history of African football.
My candid advice to Remo Stars, Rivers United, Abia Warriors, and Kwara United is simple: make good use of these funds. Invest in renovating your stadiums🏟️ to meet CAF standards and upgrade your media🎙️ departments with modern equipment.
We don’t want to hear stories of these funds being mismanaged or diverted later.
All the best 🦅🇳🇬
