Some lies will break your life.

This wife of yours that is pushing you for greener pasture, might not m0urn you for a year before she start with your friend just to keep her little Secret before the time is ripe.

Your husband might not even m0urn you for 6 months, before your friend will move in.

Stop treating God's treasures (Humans) like trash.

Those children of yours you want to train in Harvard, may just like to be a DJ or a musician that SSCE dropouts are also doing successfully.

The day you kpai, your account officer will reduce your money to ten percent. You are not alive because of what you have, you're alive to serve God and humanity.

Your house may be old, but the school bag or books you bought for another man's child will continue to grow.

GUILT TRIPPING

You don't have to guilt trip kids to obey your rules.

It is not the child's duty to make you happy, it's your duty to keep yourself happy.

They do not have to obey all your rules, you make them feel insecure about themselves when you do the following;

•MAKING CHILDREN FEEL RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR HAPPINESS.
"If you really loved me, you'd do what I ask."
(NO! If you really want them to do what you ask, you'd make them understand the reason it has to be done).

•COMPARING CHILDREN TO OTHERS.
"Why can't you be more like your sibling, your cousin, our neighbour's child, or even your friend?"
(You need to understand that every child is unique in their own way, and you don't have to guilt trip them into being like someone else.)

•USING SELF-PITY.
"You're so ungrateful, after all I've done for you."
(They didn't ask to be born, you chose to bring them to the world, and it is your duty to all you do.)

•THREATENING ABANDONMENT OR WITHDRAWAL OF LOVE.
"If you don't behave."
"I don't know if I can love you anymore."
"I'll run away and leave you alone, I'm dying of stress.."
(If you abandon them, who do you want to leave them for?)

•MAKING CHILDREN FEEL GUILTY FOR THEIR FEELINGS.
"You're being too sensitive, it's not that big of a deal."
(Allow them express their emotions, and help them manage it appropriately.)

•USING CONDITIONAL LOVE.
"I'll only be proud of you if you get good grades, or if you do well in sports etc."
(Encourage them to do well, not by threatening them.)

•PLAYING THE VICTIM.
"You're hurting my feelings by not listening to me."
(You're in control of your feelings, manage it.)

•MAKING YOUR CHILD FEEL RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR STRESS.
"You're giving me so much stress, just do what I say."
(Your child is not a robot.)

•Are you actually tired of doing good?

BAD THINGS DON'T HAPPEN BECAUSE SOMEONE IS GOOD or BAD.

Good things just happen, the same way bad things do.

IT'S PART OF LIFE.

But what makes someone “good” isn’t their luck, it’s their response.

Good people feel the pain like anyone else. They get knocked down. They have every reason to give up or grow bitter.

BUT THEY DON’T.

They choose to rise with grace.

They choose to be kind when it’s easier to be cold.

They choose to help others even while they’re hurting.

THAT’S THE DIFFERENCE.

It’s not about being protected from struggle. It’s about how you carry yourself through it.

And that choice, over and over again, is what builds character.
