As the curtains fall on this final day of the year,
We stand, hearts full, reflecting on a journey—
Though, we revisit our goals,
Yet, let us not linger on what was left undone.
Let us turn our gaze to the peaks to the small victories that shaped us,
The strength we summoned, often unnoticed.
This year was long, a stretch of days both heavy and light.
But through it all, I stand grateful.
Grateful for the gift of life that courses through me,
For family—their laughter, their love, their anchor.
For love itself, in all its forms, healing and whole.
For the peace that finds me, even in chaos.
I am thankful for the privilege to begin again,
To gather the pieces, to try once more,
To walk this path alongside the best souls—
Those who hold me up, who cheer me on,
Who make the journey worthwhile.
So as the year bows out, I choose gratitude, gratitude to God, gratitude to the people he has blessed me with.
For lessons learned, for love shared,
For dreams that remain, waiting to bloom.
