August Meeting in July — Let there be chaos!
In case you missed it, here's a summary.
From the time Madam Chairlady opens her mouth to talk, Dame Regina Evaristus has corrections to give. She was so busy correcting wrong statements and the reactions to her corrections that the meeting couldn't touch many items in the agenda. Her "busybody" nearly earned her a slap from the no-nonsense Madam Cash.
Then she fumbles and makes a grammatical blinder by saying the rest of the women are all "birds of the same feather."
Madam Ginger is quite the petty missus, so she corrects her without mercy and following that, the rest of them, especially sister comfort, give her some serious tongue whipping.
And when the money showdown starts, everyone proudly represents in pounds and dollars. Except for Dame Regina who only has a porcupine's wig and a long mouth. She says, in pidgin, "abeg I fit pay later? Be like I forget my money for house."
Big mistake. Madam Cash threatens to pound her. The others bay for her blóod. But Madam Ginger collects her wig first, and action that declared what was already on everyone's mind: LET THERE BE CHAOS.
