πŸ” Tips for Successful Broiler Farming
Start with healthy chicks from a reliable hatchery.
Prepare the brooder properly before chicks arrive.
Maintain the right temperature during brooding to prevent stress.
Provide clean water at all times.
Feed quality broiler feed according to their age and growth stage.
Avoid overcrowding; proper spacing promotes faster growth and reduces disease.
Keep the litter dry and clean to prevent coccidiosis and respiratory problems.
Follow a vaccination schedule and observe strict biosecurity.
Monitor birds daily for signs of illness, poor feeding, or abnormal behavior.
Ensure good ventilation without exposing birds to cold drafts.
Reduce stress during handling, vaccination, and feed changes.
Keep proper records of feed intake, mortality, medication, and weight gain.

The Importance of Weighing Your Birds
Today, I weighed my 2-week-old broilers, and one of them weighed 658g. This shows the importance of monitoring your birds' growth regularly.
Many farmers focus only on feeding but forget to check whether the birds are actually converting that feed into body weight. The weighing scale does not lieβ€”it tells you if your management practices are working.
Regular weighing helps you: βœ… Monitor growth performance. βœ… Detect health challenges early. βœ… Know if your feed quality is good. βœ… Track your progress towards market weight.
If your birds are not gaining weight as expected, check their feed intake, water availability, brooding conditions, health status, and stocking density.
Remember, what gets measured gets improved. Don't just feed your birdsβ€”weigh them too!
How much do your 2-week-old birds weigh? Let's compare notes in the comments. πŸ‘‡πŸ“

Dear Farmers,
Not every bird that dies was caused by disease alone. Sometimes, poor ventilation, overcrowding, dirty water, wet litter, stress, or delayed treatment can silently reduce performance and increase mortality.
A bird that starts breathing with its mouth open, becomes weak, and loses weight rapidly is sending a warning signal. The earlier you notice these signs, the better your chances of saving the flock.
Make it a habit to observe your birds closely every day. A few minutes of inspection can save you from huge losses.
πŸ“Œ Healthy birds = Better growth = More profit.
What is the earliest sign you usually notice when a bird is becoming sick? Share your experience in the comments.
