PARTIAL OBEDIENCE IS STILL DISOBEDIENCE !!!

How y'all doing 😁
So I watched a Nigerian Movie recently and the above statement stuck with me, so I decided to share how I can relate with it with my besties. I will be shaking a few tables by the way as led by the Holy spirit.
PARTIAL OBEDIENCE IS STILL DISOBEDIENCE..
Most times in life, we find ourselves with instructions from God either generally (His commandments) or personal (consecrations), and sometimes we find ourselves just adhering partly to these instructions for a lot of reasons. For some people, they just do the ones they are comfortable with or parts that are easy and leave parts that seem difficult. Some others as seen in the case of King Saul in the old testament for their selfish benefits or even human thinking, forgetting that God is not man and his ways are different from ours. These and more are reasons for partial obedience.
I'll be citing some examples aside from the ones in the bible, examples we can all relate to for easy understanding.
As a student that I am, the school management is against examination malpractice which is also cheating and a sin. I don't think we should be debating amongst ourselves if examination malpractice is a sin or not at this stage, but if you feel otherwise feel free to express yourself with reasons in the comment section. So this instruction was given and we know examination malpractice cuts across a wide range of activities like coming into the exam hall with foreign materials or paper containing answers, entering the hall with phones, sorting lecturers etc. Thankfully most Christians recognise these as wrong, and they obey. But then these same Christians can ask their neighbours answers during exam or even tell someone answers, they term it "help". They will also see unbelievers with leaked exam questions and then go ahead to look at it 😭. Partial obedience! Nothing makes you different from those entering the hall with papers or phones. The painful thing is how they go to lengths to prove that what they are doing is not wrong.
Another set of people are we Christians that know that God forbids Fornication, but have limited it to just keeping the h***n intact. Notice that I used the word "h***n" and not "virginity". This is because most of us might be "virgins" in human eyes but we've long lost our purity, we are no longer virgins in God's sight. PARTIAL OBEDIENCE! The kissing, smooching and touching are all part of fornication, you have fornicated. Fornication is not just pe*******on. I don't even want to go into the part of those that ma******te or watch po*******hy and still try to justify it.

Why obey just part ? Gods instructions must be carried out to the core. Christianity is either black or white, there are no shades of gray in between. You don't sit on the fence. So it's either you are here or you are there. You either choose to disobey or obey completely.

Long time no post
It's been a lot and I wish I could fill you all in on everything but then...
Well....
Guess who just turned 23 few days ago
SHE !!!
Well I give all thanks to God for the gift of another year.
It was really a day of reflection for me. This was because few days before then I was so sad. A lot of thoughts running through my mind, sad ones by the way. And to be honest I felt left behind, I felt like I've really not achieved anything, I felt like I've not been doing anything with my life. Very depressing thoughts, I remember crying at some point. I was turning 23 and couldn't boast of anything 😫😭.
But then on the D-day I woke up with a song in my heart

When upon life billows you are tempted tossed
When you are discouraged thinking all is lost
Count your many blessings money cannot buy
And it will surprise you what the lord has done
Count your blessings name by one by one
Count your blessings see what God has done
Count your blessings, name them one by one

And I came to understand that we allow the noise of fears, discouragement and the things we want but don't have; to drown the echoes of blessings that God has bestowed upon us.
And then we find ourselves doubting the promises and love he has for us.
I didn't bring myself this far, so many times I could have died, so many times I wonder how I even get by, sometimes I find myself in certain situations that I felt all hopes were lost but then I just managed to pull through. It was never me all these while, it has been God all this while. It has been him even when I feel like I'm all alone, it's been him.
So, why am I depressed, why am I scared, why am I discouraged, God has brought me this far and he who has started a good work in me will finish it to the end. His thoughts of me are of good and not of evil to bring me to an expected end. So be courageous SHE, your backing never sleeps nor slumbers. He is not a man that fails or disappoints.
And with this , my soul found rest.
So this is for you besties, anytime you feel overwhelmed, discouraged or scared, remember who you have given your life to, and surround yourself with his promises written in his word and then will you find rest for your soul.
I love you all but God loves you more.

Have you ever been in love ?🥰🫣
Now let's approach this a different way
I once heard someone say "you will always have time for what you love doing. You will also have money for what you love " and to be honest that's so real
Let me prove it using my life as an example.
I love music, actually I sing. Aside from my academics, it is the only thing else going on in my life. It is my safe space. When I'm feeling happy I sing or listen to music. I'm sad, I run to music, same with when I feel discouraged, scared etc. It is a way I connect to God.
A safe space , that is what music is to me.
So, for someone like me who will look for any excuse to stay in her room, it's very surprising that I'll never miss an opportunity to sing. I cannot miss rehearsals for anything even though it is taking me out of my room.
Reading my books is something I'll always leave till whenever "I'll have time" but scoring new songs, I'm sat for real. I'll make out time despite how tight my schedule is.
I remember paying 1500 almost two times a week to go to Awka from Agulu (those in Anambra can relate) just for rehearsals. Not sleeping throughout the night even when I have 8am class with a strict lecturer the next morning.
I really go out of my way for Music even when it's not something I'll normally do.
LOVE...
No wonder they said Love is blind. It is really blinding me from the stress, money, abii the fact that I'm leaving my room. Something I cannot do for anybody.
The evidence of this love is so loud. Everyone knows that SHE loves music, in church, school, compound, class, unless you don't know me. I am known for it. Not because I announced it to them but because they could see it. It is so evident.
Meanwhile I'm still heading somewhere with these stories of my life , JUST STAY WITH ME PLEASE 🥺🥺

Have you ever been in love ?

(Blushes like a lovestruck teenager ☺️)
The type with lots of butterflies in the tummy🤩.
Well.. I've been in one ( don't judge meeee 😂😂, the heart wants what it wants 🫣🫣)
Let me gist you guys
So I loved this guy, so much so that a lot of things about me started changing. Prior to my fall, I was the usual uptight hard girl, always in my room, not socialising much, barely going out, didn't like calls, the few friends I had complained that I didn't know how to reach out or communicate, didn't like taking pictures or videos whatsoever, always liked looking simple in my jeans and polo, it was a whole lot.
Then He came into my life and I fell in love, and I started changing. Omooo long calls oh, Snapchat selfie videos to send, taking extra care in the way I look especially if he's gonna be there. Generally I noticed I loved spending time with him and no matter how long the time was, it was never enough. I'll also try to maximise every little time I saw to spend time with him.
Omoooo, A lot really happened 🫣🫣
Hard girl don fall in love 😭😭
Did I also mention that I was lazy when it came to cooking for myself, but I discovered a chef in me that period🫣😂. I discovered that my love language was giving, because tell me why I see something and the next thing that comes into my head is, He will like it oh or this will look good on him. Even when it's my last card or I didn't have much, I was always looking for ways to prove I loved him as much as he did love me.
I also strived to make sure I don't annoy him, me that if I have issues with you, especially if I'm not the one in the wrong we can keep malice for months and I won't be bothered. I became someone that knew how to apologise.
We have issues even the most minor issues and I become miserable like someone that lost her 20 years life savings to Forex 😫
One other striking thing was that my moods started depending on him, not talking to him a whole day was enough to ruin my day 😭.
I don't want to bore you with my love life although I think as my besties you are supposed to know right ?
But stay with me , I'm seriously getting somewhere with this story. We will get there in our next post.

It's day 1 of our series : D.R.E.A.M- Drug Resistance, Education, Awareness and Mentorship
And today we will be talking about the meaning of drug abuse, drug misuse and drug addiction. I'll also be adding examples using scenarios for easy comprehension.
Before I continue I'll like to say that the safest way to avoid drug addiction is to prevent drug abuse and drug misuse before they begin.
So what is drug abuse, drug misuse and drug addiction ?
Drug Abuse
Drug abuse is the deliberate use of drugs in a harmful, excessive, illegal, or non-medical manner, resulting in negative effects on a person's health, behavior, or well-being. This includes taking co***ne or he**in for recreational purposes, drinking cough syrup excessively to get high, taking drugs with alcohol to enhance their effect, amongst many others.
Moving over to Drug Misuse, it is the improper use of a drug or medication, whether intentionally or unintentionally, in a way that differs from the prescribed or recommended instructions. Cases commonly seen are taking higher doses than prescribed, taking antibiotics without doctors prescription, taking medication meant for another person, etc
And then finally, Drug Addiction which is a chronic condition characterized by an uncontrollable urge to use a drug repeatedly despite its harmful consequences, often leading to physical and psychological dependence. In this case, your body is already used to the drug and at this point your willpower to stop is no longer dependent on you. Your brain makes the decision for you.
I've seen people who acknowledge that this drug is harming them but they can't stop because it's no longer up to them.
That is why I said earlier " the safest way to avoid drug addiction is to prevent drug misuse and abuse ".
Subsequently in other days of this series, we are going to dive into these topics as we sensitise our youths on the dangers of abusing drugs.

It's SHE again
Well... I saw a video circulating online about this guy that went for a podcast and was describing his experience with drugs and it's abuse. God !!! I couldn't help but ...., of a truth I lack words to express how I felt.
I've always been an advocate for the campaign against drug abuse and misuse and then going into medical school has further opened my eyes to the dangers of drug abuse. I must say that the dangers of abusing drugs can never be overemphasized. The consequences tend to last a long time. I've seen a lot of promising lives destroyed by this pandemic.
Well... I'll be dedicating the rest of this week towards dropping my 2cents in a bid to curb this menace that has eaten deep into the fabric of Nigerian youths.
I'll be discussing the meaning of drug abuse and misuse, drug addiction, possible causes of drug abuse/misuse/addiction, dangers of abusing drugs, and ways of putting a clog to this wheel i.e solutions to this problem.

Hello, besties! 🤍

Long time no post 🫣

I've missed you all, can't lie 🤥
The past few days have been a whirlwind of activities, so I've not had time to post (collapses in tiredness)
Well... Wanted to gist you guys of how eventful today was, as my bestie 🫣
In honor of International Women’s Day, students in my school group organized a special outreach program headed by one of our female lecturers; Mrs Umeh Ifeoma, owner and founder of THE PINK HEALTH FOUNDATION. We went to a local secondary school, where we distributed free sanitary pads to the girls. More than that, we held a detailed session on menstrual health going further in explaining exactly how to use the products, addressing the common myths, and breaking down the stigma surrounding the concept of Menstruation. We talked about what menstruation really means, how it connects to girls’ health and dignity, and what practices they can adopt during their period. It was so eye-opening, and I could see the spark of confidence in the girls as we talked. I’m so proud of them, and I hope this is just the start of a bigger change!”.
Well, I'm looking forward to more outreaches and possibly organising one of mine someday ☺️, God willing of course 😃

Long time no see 🙈
Well....
School really got me busy so I haven't posted in a while.
So, with the recent trend or hype around Uche Montana's recent movie, I decided to see the movie.
(Drum rolls 🥁🥁)
Nice storyline, Nice acting, Nice everything but then I felt like sharing something that this movie reminded me of. And this is that your HAPPINESS and PLEASURE should always come first. YOURSELF before anything because nobody has your best interest at heart more than you do.
I get it that there is a place of sacrifice but not when it will cost you a whole lot. And then again make sure people you are sacrificing for are really worth it. Monica at some point was getting on my nerves because tell me how you are repeatedly trampled upon by people who you would even sacrifice your life for and yet they don't appreciate it. It was obvious she was not valued, yet....
But then.... I take solace in the fact that it was just a movie.
So moral lessons for me and everyone on this journey with me :
1) Always put yourself first
2) In a case where you need to sacrifice make sure it is worth it or the individuals are worth it.
3) KNOW YOUR WORTH
4) FLEE any place where you are not valued, don't joke with your self-respect. It will save you a lot of stress. (emphasis on 'flee')
5) Always appreciate the gift of men around you. People who go out of their way to make sure you are ok. Never take them for granted because good people are hard to come by these days. You see the 'Gift of Men' .... I think that will be a discussion for another day . But then, they will only stay if you don't chase them with bad character.

Sounds confusing right ?
Don't be my darlings.
I've always been a shy person, lacking in both self confidence and self esteem. It has hindered me from putting myself out there even though I've always loved the idea. So why not be out there but make it anonymous ?, and that was how the names, SHE and HER came about.
So then again, Who is SHE and HER ?
SHE is the struggling African girl with lots of dreams and visions.
SHE is that girl with lots of insecurities, fears and anxieties
SHE is that girl that is no longer comfortable with just existing, SHE wants to live
SHE is that girl that wants to evolve, that wants to soar.
SHE wants to be heard, seen and felt
SHE wants to triumph over the Barriers that family and background has placed before her.
SHE is on a journey to becoming HER
HER is a fulfilled version of SHE, an evolved masterpiece, a voice in her generation, an influencer, a loving wife and mother 🫣🫣
