Wizkid lived in Los Angeles for almost two years, and spent roughly $290k+ on food alone. (That is over ₦400 Million)
He said he only likes to eat Nigerian food, no matter where he is in the world.
To make sure he had Nigerian meals in Los Angeles, he hired a cook.
The cook made food in the morning, and that was all he had to eat for the rest of the day. Wizkid said he got only a few meals each day and it cost about $300 to $400 every day to keep the cook.
After a while, he got tired of it. He wanted something that felt more like home.
According to Wizkid, even though he is successful, he has not forgotten where he came from:

He believes you can become famous and rich, but you should never forget your roots.
For Wizkid, home was not just a place. It was also the place he can get the food he loves anytime he wants.
