Osun Online Publishers Association Mourns the Passing of Former Chairman, Mr. Adesoji Omosebi

The Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) has announced, with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss, the passing of its former Chairman and publisher of SOJ Worldwide, Mr. Adesoji Omosebi. He was reported to have passed on in the early hours of today at a hospital in Osogbo after a brief illness.

Mr. Omosebi, a respected media practitioner and one of the strong pillars of OOPA, dedicated his professional life to the advancement of ethical journalism, digital media development, and the promotion of credible online reporting. His death represents a significant loss to the media community in Osun State and beyond. He is survived by his wife and children.

In honour of his memory and contributions to the Association, the Chairman of OOPA has directed the suspension of all official Association activities for one week. This period of mourning is to allow members reflect on his impactful life and pay their last respects.

Speaking on behalf of the Association, the Chairman, Mukhtar Ajelogbon expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the management of SOJ Worldwide, colleagues, and all who were closely connected to him. He prayed that God grants the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“Mr. Adesoji Omosebi was more than a colleague; he was a committed leader, a mentor, and a dedicated member whose absence will be deeply felt,” the Chairman said. “SOJ, as he was fondly called, will be missed by all members of the Association and everyone who had the privilege of working with him.”

The Osun Online Publishers Association prays to God almighty to forgive his shortcomings. We urge the public to keep the family in their prayers during this difficult time and will provide further updates regarding burial arrangements as communicated by the family.
