It’s normal to be overwhelmed.
If you are, This is for you!!
You are not abnormal if you feel overwhelmed at some point in your life, it’s an unavoidable part of being an “ADULT”
It just comes with the package😂 You don’t subscribe to it!! You buy adulthood and get it free of charge!!
But it’s not out of your control.
Yes. It’s not!!
Feeling overwhelmed is something most people face at some point especially when juggling responsibilities, ambitions or emotional stress. Here’s how you can handle it in a healthy and practical way;
✔️Pause and Breathe:
Take a few deep breaths. It may sound cliché, but slowing your breathing helps calm your nervous system and gives you a clearer head.
✔️ Brain Dump Everything
Write everything you’re worried about be it tasks, feelings, deadlines, etc. Getting it out of your head reduces mental clutter and helps you see the big picture.
✔️ Prioritize Ruthlessly
Ask:
What actually needs to get done today?
What can wait?
What can I delegate or drop?
Focus on doing less but better.
✔️ Take Action — One Small Step
Pick one doable task and complete it. Taking action, no matter how small, builds momentum and reduces that paralyzed feeling.
✔️ Say No (or Not Now)
Protect your time. Overwhelm often comes from overcommitting. It’s okay to delay, reschedule, or decline.
✔️ Take Care of Your Body
Overwhelm gets worse with:
Lack of sleep
Too much caffeine/sugar
No movement
✨Try walking, stretching, or taking a power nap, your mind will thank you.
✔️ Talk to Someone
Sometimes, just voicing what you feel helps you process it. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or share with a trusted friend, partner, coach, or therapist.
Do all these when you feel overwhelmed and thank me later🥰
Which of them resonates well with you?
Which is a regular practice for you and
Which one will you do starting today?
Let me know in the comments.😁
