Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has thrown his weight behind the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) initiative, promising to mobilize students in the state to access the interest-free loan scheme. He praised President Bola Tinubu for launching the scheme, calling it a "historic intervention" that'll help bridge the financial gap for students.

The Governor emphasized that the loan scheme complements existing bursaries and scholarships, ensuring no Nigerian youth is denied university education due to poverty. Students can apply online without needing connections, and repayment begins two years after NYSC completion.

NELFUND's Managing Director, Akintunde Sawyerr, highlighted the scheme's benefits, including stipends and direct payment of institutional fees to schools. The agency is seeking Ondo State's support to boost participation.

THE PRIESTHOOD IN GOVERNANCE

Judge the book by its cover at your own peril, some covers appear soft but the plot will eat you alive.
Christian, Muslim, pagan, or atheist, Pastor, Rev, Apostle, Imam, Oloye blablabla, your label/title doesn't impress me.
I’m not moved by the title you claim,
I’m moved by the character you display.

If you carry toxic habits, I’ll keep my distance. Silent bitterness, corrosive envy, hidden hate, filthy intentions, stingy spirits, schemes powered by insecurity and conspiracies against the people you secretly admire,... and the likes, I want no part in.

Fundamental physics taught us: like charges attract, unlike charges repel.
If our values don’t align, you’ll only slow my growth.
“Love your neighbor as yourself”, that’s the only real law.
But when you digest The 48 Laws of Power without wisdom or native intelligence, you become dangerous to yourself and a burden to those around you.
And when you eventually self-destruct, the world will keep moving with or without you.

Governors of the South-West region held an emergency meeting on Monday, November 24, 2025, in Ibadan to address rising security challenges and strengthen regional integration.
The meeting, attended by Governors from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, and the Deputy Governor of Osun, resulted in a 10-point resolution focused on decisive action against insecurity.

Key Decisions

South West Security Fund (SWSF): The Governors resolved to establish a dedicated fund, to be managed by the Forum of Special Advisers on Security and domiciled under the DAWN Commission, for coordinating regional security interventions.

Joint Intelligence System: A digital, real-time intelligence-sharing platform was approved across the six states to exchange threat notifications, incident logs, and coordinate rapid state-to-state response.

Call for State Police: The Governors reiterated their demand for the immediate establishment of State Police, declaring: "The time is now. It can no longer be delayed."

Border Security: They called for stricter border monitoring, biometric data collection, and increased collaboration with NIMC to curb "unregulated interstate migration."

Forest Guards: While commending Amotekun, they urged the Federal Government to deploy Forest Guards across the South West forest belts, with states providing the personnel.

The Governors commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his fight against insecurity and economic reforms, and expressed solidarity over recent kidnappings in other states. They also praised efforts toward food sufficiency and stability in food prices.
