*GOD'S GREATEST ASSET*
So God created mankind in his own image,
_Genesis 1:27 NIV_
Man was God's best creation. He made Him in His own image. He, the almighty God, wanted Adam to be like Him. But, sin happened and changed the plan. However, God came in Christ Jesus, reconciling men to Himself. Jesus is our way back to the original plan and purpose of God. God gave His best for the souls of men because men are His greatest assets on earth. You are greatly valuable in the sight of the living God.
Hear is a crucial question for us: If a man has two one-dollar bills, he has two dollars, right? Will the amount he has change if one note is dirty and the other crisp new? The answer is clear, isn't it? The man has two dollars because the physical state of money does not affect its value. No matter what has happened to you, the value God has placed inside you cannot be worn away.
Don't look down on yourself. Low self-esteem will sabotage your progress, prevent you from seizing opportunities, and make it impossible for you to live the way God wants you to. You were created to be like Christ. Read the New Testament and follow in His steps. As you do, you will find that other human beings will be very precious in your sight, so you will treat them well no matter who they are.
God has blessed you in Christ Jesus, and He wants to see the blessing expressed in the way you live and treat others. Do everything like someone who is blessed and knows that he is. Do not let anything that is happening change the truth that God made you and blessed you. In Christ, you deserve the best, and so do others.
Someone said, "What you do for yourself will not last forever, but what you do for others will". Those who know they are God’s greatest assets on earth treat other human beings as highly valuable assets, too. This is because they understand that all souls are equal before God.
D.L. Moody understood the value of souls and did all he could to get, at least, a soul saved every day. God anointed him greatly and, through him, blessed many lives. Money, silver, gold, and houses are temporary, but the souls of men are eternal. Men are God's greatest assets on earth. Trust Him to care for you and through you, care for many.
*PRAYER GUIDE*
1. Give God praise for the breath of life and for His everlasting love in giving His greatest possession- Jesus for the redemption of men.
2. Pray for a personal revelation of how valuable you are to God and ask Him to open your eyes to see other human beings the way He sees them.
3. Ask Him to fill the readers of this devotional and His other children with the grace to live far above low self-esteem, pride and ignorance.
4. Pray for divine encouragement for missionaries. Ask the Lord to manifest His almightiness in the lives of widows and their children who are facing threats or oppression.
5. Pray that Jesus will reign in your country. Talk to Him about the desires of your heart. Pray for the peace of Isreal. Give God praise for His abundant mercy.
