*A Quick Notice*

The state Government is currently in talks with the school management so the strike can be called off before this month will end, because march first week is still too far, tomorrow the school management will be meeting at law faculty to announce the date to call of the strike. Also the school management has contacted me to remind the student community to pay up there school fees because they wouldn't give any room for a 3rd window opening.

Also Concerning the transportation issues, there are no signs yet that the tombia park will come back yet to tombia, but the state government has assured us that a transportation task committee is about to be set up that will help moderate all payments collected by vehicles in the already two existing bus parks in Yenagoa which will help reduce the transportation fair for everyone.

*UPDATE: NDLEA SENSITIZATION IN AMASSOMA COMMUNITY*

~ Day 1 Successfully Completed ✅

Today marked a significant milestone as the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), along with the dedicated six-member committee led by Capt. Yeri Peter visited both the Government Secondary School and the Community Secondary School all in Amassoma community, where they engaged with students to raise awareness about the serious dangers associated with the use of hard drugs and the broader issue of substance abuse.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that Day 2 of the sensitization program will take place tomorrow, February 18, 2025. This session will be held at the Amassoma motor park, where we will specifically target motor drivers, commuters, and okada riders. The event is set to commence at 10 AM, and we encourage everyone in the community to participate and gain valuable insights.

Together, let’s work towards a drug-free future!

🚨Aborted fire incident reported outside main campus gate today around 11:30am

The store owner has left his electric cooker plugged and turned on.

Smoke started erupting from the shop, prompting nearby shop owners to run for safety.

A proper check showed that the smoke was coming out from one of the shop. The shop was forcefully broken as the owner was not available at the time and the situation was curtailed.

It is a great testimony for shop owners around that the incident did not happen at night.

Calmness have since returned to the environment.
