THIS IS OUR STORY.
Imagine what will happen if this anthill is destroyed by an external force, maybe during a road or building construction.
Of course there will be confusion.
The ants will scatter, moving in all directions but in no direction.
They will lack order and security.
Hunger and mortality rates will skyrocket.
Those who do not know their story will blame them for their backwardness.
This is the story of Africa.
This was what happened to Africa at the Berlin Conference that took place between 1884 and 1885.
It was at that conference that we were callously divided like a wedding cake.
Compatibles were separated, and incompatibles were brought together.
After that conference began the invasion.
After that conference, our values and self-esteem began their journey to the world of no return.
After that conference, we began to be ashamed of our language, culture, skin, hair, and general outlook.
When the invaders left, we saw ourselves holding swords against each other.
We began to invade and oppress ourselves.
To date, injustice, insěcurity, intimidation, oppression, political corruption and kilĺing are in bed with us.
Anyone who suggests a way to correct the errors of that conference so that we can restore our sanity is either arrested or forever silenced to serve as a lesson for others.
As a result, our people began to run from one religious house to shrine and back and forth, searching for solutions to our multiple problems.
On 15th November 1884, exactly 141 yesrs ago, the European colonisers gathered in Germany to begin the Berlin Conference, the meeting that shattered a once peaceful and orderly people.
This is the story of our story.
