Sister, if you’re waiting to become perfect before you start, you might wait forever. 😂

And if you’re waiting to become confident before you start, my sister, confidence may never come that way.

Let me tell you what learning how to drive taught me.

There was a time when I was so scared of driving.

I would sit down and think:

What if I hit somebody? 😩
What if I lose control?
What if I make a terrible mistake?

Honestly, driving looked like one big impossible thing to me.

I started learning, but my first experience was not encouraging at all.

In fact, it made me feel like maybe I just couldn’t learn how to drive.

I struggled so much that I almost gave up.

But I knew I needed to learn.

I have children.

I wanted to be able to take them to school, go where I needed to go and have the freedom to move around without depending on somebody every time.

So I told myself:

“Okay, maybe the first place didn’t work for me. Let me try again.”

This time, I asked around, looked for recommendations and found another instructor.

And that man changed everything for me.

He was patient.

He was encouraging.

Even when I made the same mistake over and over again, he didn’t make me feel stupid.

At one point, I struggled so much with controlling the steering that I was almost frustrated with myself.

But this man kept telling me:

“You can do it. You will learn it.”

And do you know what happened?

I started believing him.

I kept practising.

I kept making mistakes.

I kept trying.

And little by little, I got better.

Today, when you see me handling the steering, you might never believe that this same person was once so scared of driving. 😂

But here’s the thing:

I didn’t become confident before I started driving.

I started driving, practised, made mistakes, learnt from them and confidence came with time.

And honestly, this experience taught me something I’ll never forget.

Sometimes, you are not the problem.

Sometimes, you just haven’t found the right person to teach you.

The right person can encourage you when you’re doubting yourself.

The right person can correct you without making you feel stupid.

The right person can help you see possibilities in yourself that you couldn’t see yet.

And this is exactly how I see many people who are struggling with showing up online.

You have something to say.

You have a business.

You have knowledge.

You have a story.

But you’re hiding because you’re thinking:

“I’m not confident enough.”

“My content isn’t perfect.”

“What will people say?”

“I don’t know how to put myself out there.”

My dear, you may be waiting for something that only comes AFTER you start.

Confidence is built.

Visibility is built.

Your personal brand is built.

Your ability to communicate is built.

You don’t wake up one morning and suddenly become perfect at it.

You start. You learn. You practise. You improve. You keep showing up.

And one day, you’ll look back and wonder:

“Wait… was I really this scared before?” 😂❤️

So please, stop waiting to become perfect before you start.

Start where you are.

Learn as you go.

And if you need help, find people who will guide you, encourage you and show you a better way.

You don’t have to figure everything out alone. ❤️

If you’re seeing me for the first time, Hi, I’m Oma. 👋🏽

I help creators and business owners become more visible online, build their personal brands and grow their audience organically with the right strategy.

If you’ve been hiding because you don’t feel ready yet…

Maybe this is your sign to start. 🌱❤️

🎥 IT’S OFFICIAL! WE’RE DOING THIS! 🎥

Okay guys, it’s official now! 😂❤️

On Monday, I’m officially starting my 30 Days of Showing Up on Camera with Oma challenge! 🎥

I’ve been showing up consistently on this page, but let’s be honest, I’ve been doing a lot of pictures, graphics and written content. And now I want to challenge myself to get more comfortable with actually sitting in front of my camera, talking, teaching and connecting with you.

And yes, there’s another reason I’m doing this.

I’ve noticed that because I’ve been posting mostly pictures lately, whenever I put out a video, the reach can be like, “Oga, who send you?” 😂😂

So I want to start balancing things out—pictures AND videos—and train my audience and my page to expect both from me.

But more importantly, I want to build the habit of showing up on camera.

And guess what? You can join me! ❤️

If you’ve been wanting to start making videos but you’re shy, nervous, or you keep saying:

“What will I even say?”
“What if nobody watches?”
“I don’t like seeing myself on camera.”

Come and do it with me.

Yes, the first few videos might feel weird. 😂
You might watch yourself and say, “Who is this person?” 😂

But I promise you, 30 days from now, you will be better than you are today.

And please, don’t feel pressured to do exactly what I’m doing.

If you can post one video a day, start there.
If you can only do three videos a week, start there.
If you can do two videos every day, beautiful!

Start with the pace you can actually sustain.

The goal isn’t to impress anybody.

The goal is to start.
The goal is to practice.
The goal is to become better.

So from Monday, if you’re joining me, whenever you post your video, come back here and say:

“Oma, I’m joining you in the challenge!” ❤️🎥

Tag me or mention my name so I can find your video and cheer you on.

Let’s talk to our cameras together. 😂🎥

Let’s get comfortable being seen.
Let’s get comfortable using our voices.
Let’s get comfortable creating original video content.

30 days. Let’s do this! 🔥

Who is joining me? 👀👇🏽

Facebook is sweet. You just have to understand how it works. 😂🤩

I’ve been seeing a lot of people say things like, “Facebook is no longer giving,” “I’m not getting views,” “Other platforms are better,” and honestly, I understand where that frustration is coming from.

Especially with all the changes happening on the platform, it can be discouraging.

But let me remind you of something:

The best thing you can do for yourself on any platform is to understand the platform you are on.

Before now, I didn’t understand Facebook.

I didn’t understand how the platform worked, what kind of content people responded to, how engagement worked, or even why some things I was doing were not producing the results I wanted.

So, naturally, I blamed Facebook. 😂

Until I decided to calm down and actually learn the platform.

I started learning how Facebook works, what works here, how to position my content, how to engage, how to build community and how to make people want to come back to my page.

And honestly?

Everything changed.

Today, I can confidently tell you that Facebook is sweet when you understand how to navigate it. 😂❤️

I’ve connected with people from the UK, USA, Canada, Cameroon, South Africa and different parts of the world simply because I decided to put myself out there and learn how to use the platform properly.

So please, don’t let low views make you give up.

Your biggest concern should not always be:

Why am I not getting views?

Ask yourself:

How can I make my content better?
What can I learn?
What can I do differently?

Because if all you do is stare at your views and worry about them, you’ll eventually become discouraged from showing up.

And we don’t want that.

Learn the platform. Improve your content. Keep showing up.

And if you’re a beginner and you honestly don’t understand how Facebook works, that’s one of the reasons I created my book, My Organic Facebook Growth Blueprint.

I’ve finally added the book link to my bio! 🎉

If you want to learn how to approach Facebook the right way, click the link in my bio and get your copy.

Start with understanding the platform.

Then you’ll see what I mean when I say…

Facebook is sweet. 😂❤️
