Yesterday, the Executive Chairman of Quaan-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship- Wallat, joined his counterparts in the ongoing 17 Local Governments peer review tour of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Plateau State Chapter.

The tour, led by the state Chairman, Hon. Hamisu Anani, Chairman of Wase Local Government Council, covered five local governments: Shendam, Langtang North, Wase, Kanam, and Kanke.

During the visit, the Chairmen engaged with the three tiers of the local governments - the Executive Council, Legislative Arm, and Traditional Council - in all the visited local governments. The interaction focused on identifying pathways to accelerate development across the state.

The ALGON also conducted a tour to inspect projects implemented by the Chairmen, encompassing both completed and ongoing projects.

QUA'AN-PAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN DESCRIBES LEADERSHIP AS GUIDING LIGHT.

In a stirring address, the Executive Chairman of Qua'an-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship- Wallat, described leadership as a guiding light for transformative governance and community development.

The Chairman stated this during the program of the closing ceremony of Course SH 1317 for cadets from the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) Academy, Karu, Abuja, held on Saturday 23rd August, 2025 at the Citizen and Leadership Training Centre (CLTC) Gwash-Lamingo, Jos.

In his remarks, the Chairman, represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Raymond Dangwam, highlighted that transformative leadership is rooted in a profound understanding of the intricate dynamics of governance, coupled with a steadfast resolve to serve the people with uncompromising integrity and humility. He emphasized the importance of the fight against corruption, stressing that it is a crucial aspect of good governance and a key factor in promoting national development.

The Chairman further underscored the significance of servant leadership, highlighting its potential to catalyze meaningful change, promote collective progress, and leave a lasting legacy that positively impacts future societies.

Highlight of the event is the presentation of certificate to the graduating cadets by Director, Training and Development Mr Ebiwari Elehibiri and declaration of course SH 1317 officially closed by the Director General of CLTC Mrs Rinsola Abiola.

QUAAN-PAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES SECOND PHASE OF FREE LOCAL GOVERNMENT EQUITY HEALTH PROGRAM UNDER PLASCHEMA.

Following the successful registration of 500 beneficiaries in the first phase of the equity health program under PLASCHEMA by the Executive Chairman, Hon Christopher Audu Manship, the Local Government launched the second phase of registration for 500 additional beneficiaries.

The Executive Chairman of Quaan-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship- Wallat, joins numerous well-wishers in celebrating with the Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil, on his birthday.

In a congratulatory message, the Chairman described the Speaker as a dynamic leader whose leadership has positively impacted the constituency he represents and Plateau State as a whole.

The Chairman acknowledged the exceptional leadership of Rt. Hon. Gapyil in steering the 10th Assembly, noting that his leadership foresight is propelling Plateau State House of Assembly forward, which he described as a monumental success.

QUA'AN-PAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN REITERATES COMMITMENT TO UPGRADE JUDICIAL INSTITUTIONS

In a bid to enhance access to justice and promote the rule of law, the Executive Chairman of Quaan-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship- Wallat, reiterated his administration's commitment to facilitate the establishment of judiciary institutions in the local government.

The Chairman made this commitment when he received the Plateau State High Court Chief Registrar, Barr. Andrew Maikai, and his team on a tour to inspect the proposed site for the establishment of a High Court in Doemak and an Upper Area Court in Namu.

The Chairman, represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon Raymond Dangwam, expressed his administration's resolve to develop the court's facilities to world-class standards. He noted that the establishment of the High Court and Upper Area Court would generate employment opportunities and boost revenue in the local government.

Earlier, the Chief Registrar, Barr. Andrew Maikai, articulated the judiciary's determination to pursue the establishment of the High Court and Upper Area Court in Quaan-Pan. He urged the local government to provide the necessary facilities within a reasonable timeframe to facilitate the ex*****on of the courts' functions.

The Chief Registrar commended the Council Chairman for his proactive leadership and collaborative approach in driving the establishment of the courts in Quaan-Pan, expressing optimism that the joint effort would yield tangible benefits for the local populace and enhance the overall administration of justice in the area.

In a bid to further boost agricultural productivity and support local farmers, the Executive Chairman of Qua'an-Pan Local Government Council, Hon Christopher Audu Manship, has flagged off another round of subsidized fertilizer distribution to farmers. This follows the distribution of free fertilizers to farmers across the local government earlier on by the Chairman, and subsequent subsidized fertilizer programs.

To ensure the fertilizers spread across all parts of the local government, the Chairman allocated the fertilizers to all polling units in the local government to reach farmers at the grassroots level.

The Chairman, represented by his Deputy Hon Parlong Chrysantus Kangshal, noted that this distribution is in line with the "TIME IS NOW" administration's of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, which prioritizes Agriculture, aimed at increasing crop yields, improving food security, and enhancing the livelihoods of farmers in Plateau State.

The Chairman commended Governor Mutfwang for prioritizing the Agriculture sector in Plateau State and reiterated his administration's commitment to supporting farmers in Qua'an-Pan Local Government.

In a show of appreciation, the farmers' collective expressed gratitude to the Chairman for providing them with free and subsidized fertilizers and assured continued support to the PDP-led administration in Plateau State under the visionary leadership of Governor Caleb Mutfwang.

NYSC MEMBERS COMMEND QUA'AN-PAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN FOR HIS SUPPORT, DONATE SIGNPOSTS

The National Youth Service Corps members commended Qua'an-Pan Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, for his unwavering support and visionary leadership, which created a conducive environment that facilitated their service, and donated signposts to the local government to put in various junctions.

During their visit to the local government council secretariat in Ba'ap, the NYSC Coordinator of Community Development, Mr. Nuah Yakubu, stated that the signposts were presented to recognize the Chairman's commendable support to corps members in Qua'an-Pan, as part of their community development initiative.

In response, the Council Chairman, represented by his Deputy, Hon. Parlong Chrysantus Kangshal, conveyed heartfelt thanks and commendation for the corps members' kind donation, noting that it reflected their deep appreciation for the local government's efforts to make their stay enriching and fulfilling. This thoughtful act, he said, underscored the strong bond between the council and the corps members.

The Chairman further urged the NYSC members to continue serving with dedication in their various states of origin and expressed gratitude for their selfless service in Qua'an-Pan Local Government. The Chairman assured his continued support to all corps members currently in Qua'an-Pan and those who would soon be mobilized, while offering words of wisdom to those who would soon pass out.

In a vote of thanks, the NYSC Desk Officer of Qua'an-Pan, Mr. Philemon Barry, expressed special thanks to the corps members for their tireless efforts and commitment to serving the community. The Executive Chairman of Quaan-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship- Wallat, graced the National Association of Pan Students' cultural day/fundraising in University of Jos, reiterated his administration's commitment to students' welfare.

Represented by his Special Assistant, Mr. Gregory Gurummiap, the Chairman urged students to pursue their education and excel not only in Plateau State but also in the broader education sector across the country and beyond.

In a show of support for the students' cultural activities, the Chairman donated two hundred and fifty thousand Naira ( #250,000) and commended the students' efforts in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Pan Nation. "Culture is what defines us," the Chairman stated, adding that his door remains open to all students whenever they need his assistance.

QUA'AN-PAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN APPEALS FOR IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION ON FLOOD AND EROSION SITES

In a bid to mitigate the devastating impact of flooding and erosion on the affected communities, the Executive Chairman of Quaan-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, appealed for immediate interventions on the flood and erosion sites in Quaan-Pan.

The Chairman reiterated this appeal when he received a team from the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Mineral Development, led by the Permanent Secretary, Michael Yabilsu, for an assessment of the affected areas.

The Chairman, represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Dangwam Raymond, during the assessment of the affected communities, including Kurgwi and Namu (specifically along Lafia Road and Langkaku Road), stressed the need for prompt action in addressing the erosion menace across the local government and implementing preventive measures to avert further occurrences.

He expressed gratitude to the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for his prompt response to the council's request by deploying a team to assess the affected areas.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Michael Yabilsu, highlighted the state government's commitment to preventing erosion and the need for urgent action, noting that if the areas are left untreated, it would exacerbate the situation. He urged the communities to plant trees in all the vulnerable areas to reduce the risk of erosion and flooding.

Michael Yabilsu stated that Governor Mutfwang's administration is focused on addressing the needs of rural communities and declared that the Ministry would dispatch engineers immediately to assess all the affected areas in Quaan-Pan Local Government.

The delegation also included Director Environmental Assessment and Climate Change, Mrs. Marthina Danuk, and Director of Mineral Field Surveillance and Environmental Conservation, among others.

Reinforcing his administration's commitment to education and cultural development, the Executive Chairman of Quaan-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, graced the National Association of Pan Students (NAPANS) Cultural Day/Fundraising of College of Education (COE) Gindiri.

The Chairman, represented by his Senior Special Assistant, Jerry Gooyil, urged the students to be proactive in their studies, emphasizing the importance of academic excellence.

In a demonstration of his administration's commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting cultural heritage, the Chairman donated Three Hundred Thousand Naira ( #300,000) to support the event and charged the students to continue showcasing the cultural heritage of Pan Nation.

QUA'AN-PAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN REITERATES COMMITMENT TO SAFEGUARDING SECURITY

As part of his administration's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the citizens, the Executive Chairman of Qua'an-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, reiterated his commitment to safeguarding the security in the local government area.

The Chairman made this commitment when the security agencies presented the suspected kidnappers, Dauda Usman, 22 years, and Abdulmumini Halidu, 22, who were arrested and recovered the sum of Six Million, Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N6,200,000) ransom in the local government council secretariat, Ba'ap.

The Chairman commended the security agencies for their swift and effective action, which led to the rescue of the victim and the arrest of the kidnappers. He described the effort as "commendable and exemplary."

The Chairman assured the security agencies of his continued support in carrying out their duties and instructed them to hand over the recovered ransom to the kidnap victim, while the kidnappers would face the full weight of the law for their crime.

The security agencies thanked the Chairman for his support in enhancing their operations, noting that it had led to the arrest of numerous terrorists in the local government. They commended the Chairman as a stalwart in the area of security measures, stating that his leadership had significantly improved security in Qua'an-Pan Local Government.

They assured the Council Chairman of their continued cooperation in safeguarding the local government and to continue with their investigation for further breakthroughs.

QUAAN-PAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN CONVENES ENLARGED MEETING WITH COUNCILLORS, SUPERVISORY COUNCILLORS, SPECIAL ADVISERS, PDP LGA EXECUTIVES, AND WARD CHAIRMEN

In a bid to strengthen governance and foster collaboration, the Executive Chairman of Quaan-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, convened an enlarged meeting with councillors, supervisory councillors, Special Advisers, PDP LGA Executives, and Ward Chairmen.

The meeting aimed to discuss strategies for enhancing governance and development in the local government.

The Chairman urged all Executive members of the council and Legislative members to work together in harmony, noting that a close working relationship is essential for effective governance in the local government.

"Collectively, we'll drive development in Quaan-Pan," the Chairman stated, calling on the Executive members, Legislative, and the party to contribute their input to achieve the "THIS IS THE WAY" administration's goals.

He noted that in the past two years of the PDP administration, Quaan-Pan Local Government has undergone a transformation, taking on a new look.

The Chairman urged the people of Quaan-Pan to support Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang's administration, emphasizing that collective efforts would yield greater development outcomes. "Governor Mutfwang's vision for Plateau State is our guiding light, and we'll continue to support his initiatives," he added.

The Chairman further emphasized the importance of effective representation and community engagement, highlighting that the success of PDP in 2027 would depend on the collective efforts and commitment of party members to work together.

Also speaking, the Council Secretary, Hon. Joseph Dashe, lauded the Chairman's efforts in bringing development to the local government and charged all appointees and Legislative members to work closely with the Chairman for the progress of Quaan-Pan. He further called on the council appointees to be mindful of their roles and responsibilities, emphasizing that accountability and transparency would be key to the success of the administration, and assured the Chairman of their unwavering support and commitment to the development of Quaan-Pan Local Government.

The Local Government Party Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Barry, commended the Chairman's leadership style, describing it as inclusive and visionary, and pledged the party's continued support for the administration's development initiatives. He advised the Executive members and the Legislative to maintain a harmonious working relationship, stressing that unity and cooperation would be crucial in driving progress and achieving the party's objectives in Quaan-Pan.

On behalf of the Legislative arm, Hon. Taptugun, Councillor representing Langkaku-Kwarri ward commended the Chairman's dedication to good governance, noting that his leadership had brought about significant improvements in the local government, and urged him to sustain the momentum, and to do more by supporting the Legislative arm in its oversight functions and ensuring that the council's projects and programs are implemented effectively.

Hon. Longkwang Kabeer, Supervisory Councillor for Special Duties, emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration and collective responsibility in driving Quaan-Pan's development agenda, stressing that a unified approach would yield optimal results.
