In 2019 I used to live in a Self-contained (this self contain was not containing sha o) apartments in Bori.
My landlord was quite young... In his late 20's
It was a family house so na him get one of the apartments there.
We used to make use of the general compound Gen because it powered all the houses...
About 5 apartments.
One day, we wanted to turn on the Gen...
Na we buy fuel oooo...
The guy say make we no on anything.
I felt bad ooooo
Me I dey spend money service the Gen oooo
Because say na you get am... You say make I no on am.
A whole me???
I say no wahala...
The next day, I went and bought this medium sized Gen. I powered my apartment and two other apartments cutting off his side.
As he come see say I don buy Gen, na so he believe!!
This was one of my first major properties in my life.
I now had control... I could turn it on whenever I liked, and for as long as I pleased.
Everybody come dey hail me for compound 😂😂😂
Two weeks later, I turned on the Gen, I was working inside my room, I say I go off am by 11pm so that I fit carry am inside house.

I woke up by 2am, ran out of my room (the compound was open with no gate) to this particular spot in the picture.... I no see gen 😂😂😂😂
I go knock for my neighbor ask am if na him help me carry the Gen inside, he say nooo... Say he slept off.
Na so I just smile, enter inside my room, lie down, sleep.
My first major equipment (apart from my laptop) was gone within 2 weeks of purchasing it.
I moved on.
Material things don't move me that much, I just feel bad for a little while and I forge ahead.
Any lesson from this story???
